More than 38 million people, including 12 million children, in the United States, are food insecure.

The pandemic has increased food insecurity significantly.

Every community in the country is home to families who face hunger. But rural communities are especially hard hit by hunger.

Many households that experience food insecurity do not qualify for federal nutrition programs.

Hunger in African American, Latino, and  Native American communities is higher because of racial injustice.

To achieve a hunger-free America, we must address the root causes of hunger and inequalities.

Hunger can affect people from all walks of life. Millions of people in America are just one job loss, missed paycheck, or medical emergency away from hunger

But hunger doesn't affect everyone equally - some groups like children, seniors, African Americans, Indigenous peoples, and other people of colour face hunger at much higher rates. Hunger also most often affects our neighbours who live in poverty.

I have partnered with Team Feed at Feeding America to help provide at least 10,000 meals to those that are food insecure in the United States.

No one should ever have to go without a meal, yet more than 38 million people in America do.

I created this fundraiser to help provide these much-needed meals to our neighbours through the Feeding America network of food banks and I'm asking you to join in my cause.

Every $1 donated helps provide at least 10 meals. It only takes a little to make a big difference. Will you help in my fight to end hunger?
