In our modern society where consumption is the name of the game, what does it mean to choose a life of minimalism? What benefits does this type of lifestyle have on your overall well-being?
Join the founder of Minimalism Australia - Vicki Andrews, as we dive deep into the topic of Minimalism.
Vicki Andrews was a lady who seemingly 'had everything'. She lived in a beautiful mansion with an abundance of expensive clothes, home decorations and more. However, even though from face value she achieved everything a Western Lifestyle glorifies, she was left feeling empty and alone. It turns out that having all the material possessions doesn't always mean you will be happy.
After a serious breakup, Vicki chose to turn her life around and truly strive for happiness outside the Western materialistic lens. Fast forward a few years, Vicki has now become an author of the book Minimalist Me.
According to Vicki, this is a book for people who feel that “full on” minimalism and living out of a shoebox may be a bit too extreme for them. When under 7kg of luggage is not always enough for what you want to pack, but you still know you could have more with less. More space physically, mentally, and emotionally to pursue and enjoy the things you really love.
Minimalism is about maximising your lifestyle by minimising the clutter that often surrounds or consumes you. Take heart! You will be surprised at how easy it can be.
