In this episode, I look at three of Jesus' offices and how it relates to you and me. Most of us think of Jesus as meek going to his death, but that was just a necessary moment in time that God the Father had ordained to happen because of his love for us. But Jesus is so much more.   

Isaiah 33: 22 For Jehovah is our judge; Jehovah is our lawgiver; Jehovah is our king; He will save us. 

John 5:22 The Father judges no one but has given all judgment to the Son, 

James 4:12 There is only one Lawgiver and Judge, the one who is able to save and destroy. But you—who are you to judge your neighbor?

John 18:36 Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world. If my kingdom were of this world, my servants would have been fighting, that I might not be delivered over to the Jews. But my kingdom is not from the world.”

Isaiah 45:22 Turn to Me and be saved, all the ends of the earth; For I am God, and there is no other.

This morning's rant is about “God’s Supply Chain.” Looking at the news, you and I could lose our minds if we depend on the world's supply chain. According to them, there's a shortage of everything, but as Christians, we have a different supply chain because we're in a separate kingdom than they, and we have another supply chain. God is our supply chain, according to the bible.

Philippians 4:19. "And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus."

Matthew 6:26. "Look at the birds of the air, that they do not sow, nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not worth much more than they?"

Matthew 6:31-33. "Do not worry then, saying, 'What will we eat?' or 'What will we drink?' or 'What will we wear for clothing?' For the Gentiles eagerly seek all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you."

Deuteronomy 2:7. "For the LORD your God has blessed you in all that you have done; He has known your wanderings through this great wilderness. These forty years the LORD your God has been with you; you have not lacked a thing."

Psalm 37:24-25 24 Though he falls, he will not be overwhelmed, for the LORD is holding his hand. 25I once was young and now am old, yet never have I seen the righteous abandoned or their children begging for bread

Ephesians 1:1-14

Spiritual Blessings in Christ

3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places, 4just as he chose us in Christ before the foundation of the world to be holy and blameless before him in love. 5He destined us for adoption as his children through Jesus Christ, according to the good pleasure of his will, 6to the praise of his glorious grace that he freely bestowed on us in the Beloved. 7In him, we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace 8that he lavished on us. With all wisdom and insight 9he has made known to us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure that he set forth in Christ, 10as a plan for the fullness of time, to gather up all things in him, things in heaven and things on earth. 11In Christ we have also obtained an inheritance, having been destined according to the purpose of him who accomplishes all things according to his counsel and will, 12so that we, who were the first to set our hope on Christ, might live for the praise of his glory. 13In him you also, when you had heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and had believed in him, were marked with the seal of the promised Holy Spirit; 14this is the pledge of our inheritance towards redemption as God’s own people, to the praise of his glory.

This morning I continue my rant to inform you that this is a rigged game. The devil goes around "like a roaring lion." God uses the character of the devil to make our character better. Our responsibility is to praise God in all things. 

Romans 5:3-4 3 Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; 4 perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5 And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.

II Corinthians 1:3-6, “Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God. For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also aboundeth by Christ. And whether we be afflicted, it is for your consolation and salvation, which is effectual in the enduring of the same sufferings which we also suffer: or whether we be comforted, it is for your consolation and salvation.”

Hebrews 13:15 says, "By him, therefore, let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name."

The bible tells us that God wants to have a personal relationship with creation; that is why you and I are called "sons of God" or the "children of God." Here in the following scripture is a perfect example of that relationship of a loving father with his child and the benefits that the child and the father from that relationship.    Psalm 37:23-24 The LORD directs the steps of the godly. My rant is about the Holy Spirit in the life of the believer.  Here are just a few.

a. The Holy Spirit can be grieved.
b. The Holy Spirit is our Helper
c. The guidance of the Holy Spirit
d. Scriptures that show that the Holy Spirit is God.
e. The Holy Spirit gives us wisdom
f. The Spirit is an awesome gift giver.
g. He is living inside of believers.

 1 Corinthians 3:16-17 Do you not know that you are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit lives in you? If someone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy him. For God’s temple is holy, which is what you are.

1 Corinthians 6:19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

John 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
Romans 8:14-16 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God.

Ezekiel 36:26-27 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh. And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.

This morning's rant is about the mind being set on spiritual things.  We choose whether to set our minds on the flesh or spiritual things. The decision is ours to make.   

 Colossians 3:2 Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. 

Philippians 4:8 Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. 

Colossians 3:1-2 If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. 

Romans 8:5 For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit.
