Blur Records Podcasts

Now live on our Soundcloud page, the South African DJ and producer - Leeu!

Known for his wonderful productions, and as the owner of SUID TRONICA, we are very pleased to present his debut at the label.

His live performances have caught our attention over the years, which is why he's our guest for the 35th edition of the Blur Podcasts, live now on our Youtube and Soundcloud pages.

Now live at the Blur Podcasts return to present the wonderful Berlin based Producer and DJ Midnight Sessions, the head of house music channel "House Music Lounge“.

Known for his combinations of modern House vibes with jazzy atmospheres, his sound invites the listeners to a sophisticated time of dance, chill and good drinks.

His stage name summarizes his way of working on new tracks and mixes, which often arise from nightly music sessions. Midnight Sessions is also the playlist editor for the Berlin radio station FluxFM, where he expresses his love for other genres like indie, pop and electronics.

He's our guest for the 34th edition of the Blur Podcasts, and we couldn't be more excited about it! Now on our Soundcloud and Youtube pages!

Now live on our Soundcloud and Youtube pages, the wonderful mix our good friend, partner and Radio Electronica resident, the Leipzig based DJ - Reiner Von Vielen!

With a long career that dates back to the mid-nineties, he came into contact with the radio station OKJ Jena for the first time in 2001.

Having developed his first love for radio with a hip-hop programme it wasn't long until he left half of his fortune in record shops quickly reaching thousands of records.

Beginning as a radio presenter, in charge of Herzklopfen Radio programme in OKJ, Reiner brought the crème de la crème of the Jena house and techno scene to his studio on a regular basis.

In January 2016, the station was restructured and he was brought into the Radio Electronica team by Nicola Candelaria, being now responsible for booking, new introductions and the internationalisation of the Radio Electronica brand.

He's also been responsible for the bookings behind our podcasts, so it is with great pleasure that we welcome Reiner to the 33rd edition of the Blur Podcasts.

Now live on our Soundcloud and Youtube pages, the DJ and producer from Saxony/East Germany, currently residing in Berlin, the one and only - Siggatunez!

Known as the founder and owner of the Deep House and Deep Disco vinyl label Tieffrequent, musically he is deeply rooted in the US-Golden Age Hip-Hop Aera of the 90's but also the "Motown“ and the East-German Funk and Soul music genres.

Mainly influenced by his younger brother, he started producing beats and cuts out of dusty vinyl-records around 2000 and by 2005 he had already moved to Frankfurt where he got in contact with the electronic music local scene.

With his friend Le Rubrique he started the regular House and Techno Event "Sucio'' at the now legendary Café KOZ to promote upcoming and established artists, which is where he started Djing in 2008 and evolved a passion for vinyl records and the whole record shop-digger cosmos.

In 2012 he moved to Berlin where he started his own label. In 2018 he founded the Gwen Torino mixing studio where he offers audio services for electronic music productions. Due to his love for funk and soul music he created the GOOEY Editz series in 2020 to bring back some forgotten diamonds back to light.

Now live on our Soundcloud and Youtube pages, the Italian born, Berlin based, DJ and Producer - Ruff Stuff!

Having rocked up on a host of different labels, including Shall Not Fade, Madhouse Records, Suol, and Quality Vibe, he’s arguably best renowned for his work at his own label Ruff Stuff Music Ltd.

Growing up during the ‘90’s electronic wave, firstly as clubber and then as DJ and vinyl enthusiast, in the mid-2000s he decided to start producing electronic music. The first steps were moved on the Idm and Ambient territories, driven by his love for ethereal melodies and intricate broken beats.

The shift to House happened after re-discovering different classic records hidden in his collection. From here the idea to create a music project focused on representing the vibes of the old-school House, Techno and Garage with a propensity to find the newest, freshest sounds.

Rough samples, hypnotic melodies, groovy beats and vocals are the main ingredients that mark Ruff Stuff’s sound.

This is why we invited him to be our guest for the 30th edition of the Blur Podcasts.

We are incredibly proud to present the Copenhagen based Disco & House adventurer - Ziggy Phunk!

Someone that clearly stands out from today’s crowd of typical Producers and DJs who narrowly specialize on one and only genre and sound – he takes the road less travelled creating and playing everything good for the soul within Disco, Nu Disco, Funk, Soul and House with elements from Afro, Latin & Jazz to The Far East.

Ziggy Phunk is a familiar and respected name because of his continuously feel-good, dancefloor oriented productions of both original work, remixes and quality edits & reworks of late 70s & early 80s disco, funk & soul, which is all made to sound fat on modern club systems and to fit a modern dancefloor.

His diverse sets, commitment and his incredible contagious energy behind the decks will make sure you get blown away on the dance floor.

Known for his love and burning passion for quality house music, especially Soulful House & Afro House, hist music has been played by industry top rated DJ's such as Joey Negro, Purple Disco Machine, Mark Knight, Soulmagic, Mousse T, Eric Kupper, Julius Papp, Fabio Tosti, Kenny Summit and more.

His releases have seen several TOP 100 and TOP 10 chartings both on Traxsource and Junodownload and he has released music on labels such as Peppermint Jam Records, Midnight Riot Records, Good For You Records, Masterworks Music and many many others.

Now live at the Blur Podcasts, the wonderfully talented and absolutely prolific producers hailing from New Zealand - 2XM!

With their music being played worldwide by DJ's such as Flying Lotus, Josh Butler, Chaos in The CBD, Letherette and many others, they first caught our attention with the incredibly beautiful track "Inept", but they have an envious catalogue that features tracks such as "Solace", which was just recently released on GLBDOM, and "Floating Desire" on Eton Messy.

Their mixtapes which you can visit on their soundcloud, also display a tasteful selection and good technique, which prompted us to invite them for the 28th edition of the Blur Podcasts.
