Wax is coming to Buffalo at Electric City and wants to see you there. The eclectic rapper and guitar player came on the BMP pod to promote his tour through our fair city on July 21 at Electric City.

As a youth, Wax toured through Buffalo as a punk rocker, going to places like Mohawk Place and Broadway Joes. Now he's back with a DJ and a guitar and some sick bars to have you enjoying yourself like its the weekend.

If you were around in 2004-2007 you might have heard of Knife Crazy, a rising alternative music band that played in places like Broadway Joes and Mohawk Place, among others. Then they disappeared.

The vintage clothes and accessories game is still roaring at Scoop Shop on Elmwood Avenue. Wendy talked about her introduction to thrifting and antiquing, including helping at Scoop Shop as a young person. She is now the owner.

Every part of our community in Buffalo is important to the rest. Scoop Shop, also known for its travelling bus, has been the site of bands and musicians to ply their own craft outside her shop. Without venues, being a musician can be kind of tough. That's just one example of how we all help one another.
