Willie: Can you believe it's been a year since we started Boardgames and Blank, Alexa? But I think this works to our advantage, because it's timed well with KublaCon, our local con that we go to! Yes, we're posting our post-thoughts about the now-2-weeks-ago con, as well as what we played recently as well. What a way to kick off Season 2!

Alexa: And because it's the start of the new season, let me tell you a random fact! Toejam is...

Willie: NOTHING! It's nothing! Can't we just stick with boardgames?

Alexa: If you don't know what it is, I dare you to search it up.

Willie: Season 2 is gonna be great...

Willie: Finally got this episode edited! Today, we talk about what we've been playing lately, and then about a simple card game about capturing a criminal in tunnels called Bandida.

Alexa: Finally. We did this episode AGES ago.

Willie: I know. Hopefully the next one won't be so far off...

Willie: Today, we talk about the Impact of Tacos vs Burritos, hungry numbers, barrels with eyes, stealing stuff, and buggy games! This is also the first podcast episode where we added bloopers in the end! Alexa: Wait-- it IS!? I don't remember anything about you saying, "Hey Alexa we're gonna put bloopers at the end of the podcast!!" I HEARD NONE OF THAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Willie: Instead of erasing our mistakes, I'm collecting them all in a jar to release at the end and oh no I broke the jar...

Willie: Okay, newest podcast comes a week later than our bi-weekly schedule, so we got to work on that. But today, we're going over Marvel Remix, a game based on the same gameplay mechanic as Fantasy Realms, but with its own twist and different theme! It's a game I won in Raynah88's Twitch stream (where she streams board and video games), and a game I'll likely throw in the TRASH!

Alexa: Yeah, he's gonna throw it in the trash cuz I keep beating him. [:

Willie: It's been a while since our last episode, so bear with us while we re-adjust our formats somewhat, but we're still excited to record more Boardgames and Blank podcasts! In today's episode, we go over nearly all the games we've been playing during our long hiatus, and then we talk about Cat Lady and its expansion Box of Treats! Alexa: Because we're lazy. Willie: ARGH!

Willie: The holidays are upon us, and we're busy with other things in life, so there haven't been many podcasts lately. But we have one here today, where we talk about another Daryl Chow favorite: Wok and Roll, and its expansion The Korean Wave! Alexa: I don't like listening to rock and roll. Willie: Why do I even bother?

Willie: Today we have another "Alexa pulls down the shelf" episode with Tokaido, one of the earliest games in my collection from 2012 about having the best vacation in ancient Japan.

Alexa: "Alexa pulls down the shelf"? Wow! I must be super strong!

Willie: Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.

Willie: Another longer hiatus, but I promise we'll get a better routine going on. This week we talk about dodging and shooting bullets, and talk about a game Alexa couldn't think of a weird name to change it to - Delicious! Alexa: What does "hatis" mean? And also, what do you mean by "dodging and shooting bullets"? Willie: This is why we can't have nice podcasts...

Willie: It's a late one, but the second half of our Essen Preview is up now, right past a little off the last day of Essen 2022! I'd say that's close enough! We catch up to with some Bargain Basement Bathysphere excitement, get giggly with artwork from The Three Little Wolves, and go nuts over some Dulce. Enjoy!

Willie: Hey everyone! This week's podcast is a little different and longer than previous ones because today, Alexa and I review the Essen preview list in Boardgamegeek.com! It's really mostly me just scrolling down the list and stopping whenever Alexa sees something interesting...like a duck's butt, or a tomato vending machine. And for the last time, "No Image Available" is NOT a game!!
