The Bros caught up with Extreme Sports Superstars Travis Pastrana and Jim York during a small break in-between races at the RWO Key West Offshore World Championship, as they returned to offshore powerboat racing after a four year hiatus. Special thanks to Anna Frazier and Tad Whitten of Mercury Racing for providing us the coolest sound stage in all the land—"Black Betty", the famed Mercury Racing Tour Truck.
Listen as the duo discusses their triumphant return to the sport to compete for World Championship glory in the hyper-competitive Modified Vee Class in the Dixxon Flannel / Channel 199 Lilly Sport Boat competitor, as well as their previous experiences in the cockpit together. Also, they talk about their wild and crazy stunts they've "passed/not failed" with, and the countless other shenanigans that are on their already overflowing plates—including work with industry powerhouse Mercury Racing.
Pastrana and York are hilarious, personable and riff off each other seemlessly—like Lewis & Martin, Cheech & Chong, or Key & Peele. It's no wonder that all of their on board racing videos go internet-viral, as well as the rest of their extreme land and sky adventures.

Starting fresh out of high school, Adrian quickly took to the marine industry, completing Tech School and Mercury Marine school and landed his first job at Boatland in San Diego County in California. Then joined the team at DCB Performance Boats in El Cajon, where he earned the nickname "AJ", which are not initials for his name and not a flattering moniker.
Listen how he climbed through the ranks with his skill and knowledge, while also aspiring to enter the offshore racing world and joined the CRC Race Team as part of their crew, leading to his current gig of Crew Chief of the MTI Offshore Racing Teams.
Not one to mince words, "AJ" recalls many of his stories over the years and ultimately how he's ended up where he is, endlessly talented and widely respected in the industry.

They break down the runs that both Adam and Myrick ran during the weekend, as well as the other activities that occurred during speedboating's biggest week, including the mind-blowing run of the freshly modified, newly dubbed 50-foot Mystic Darana Hybrid/IHRA with twin 4,400 jet turbine engines that recorded a 242 mph pass–only 2 mph shy of what the boat ran as Spirit of Qatar in 2014.

Technical difficulties are a part of everyday life. As much as we try to avoid them, they always seem to happen from time to time.
That's precisely what happened after a recent recording of the podcast with Speedboat photographer Tom Leigh and videographer Carter Bahde. Myrick's internet was taking longer than the others so the "Bros" had to wait until the full episode had completed its upload. Being presumably "off the podcast," the Coil household returned to regular life. Then hilarity ensued. So Ray covertly started recording the "slime" madness and this is just part of what happened...
