Crazy times here at Bodega HQ. We're not able to get an episode together in time for this week's release, so we're going into the archives to celebrate Pusha T, who just released the insane DAYTONA. We watched his short film DARKEST BEFORE DAWN, a hallucinatory look at the (guess what) the dope game, full of amazing visuals. Also gives us a chance to get some great King Push music onto the show.

Our friend Abbey came through to watch Kid Rock (yes he's a rapper) in BIKER BOYZ (Blaaaaack Kniiiights!) and its a completely insane episode. Anthony is drunk, we tell a lot of inside jokes, there's a lot of discussion of low rise jeans, its a mess, but a good one. Enjoy.

3 Strikes is a film written and directed by DJ Pooh, who cashed in on all his Friday love to make this movie...full of amazing talent...not amazing jokes. We were let down, but we have good reasons, and luckily Ant steps up with a ton of great DJ Pooh tracks to save the episode.

Rapper, podcaster and all around great dude Mega Ran came through to watch Method Man in THE MORTICIAN, a non-horror movie that may or may not have premiered in 3d. And oh yeah, did we mention that Meth is the LEAD in the movie??? It's insane. Also, production is a little worse than usual thanks to Ryan being a shoddy producer and a bad mic cable. Still, not too terrible.

Shouts to @CrowleyHead on Twitter for hitting us up about this one.

Ava Duvernay's (Selma, 13th, A Wrinkle In Time) first film is a fantastic documentary about The Good Life Cafe, the Los Angeles home for conscious hip hop and breeding ground for Freestyle Fellowship, Abstract Rude, Busdriver, Jurassic 5, and much more. SO much music in this ep. So there's a tracklist below.

Figures of Speech - Alpha, Omega

The Dynospectrum - Anything is Everything

CVE - Fish N Chips

Abstract Rude - A Coat of Paint (Finale)

Busdriver - Imaginary Places

Volume 10 - Pistol Grip Pump

Aceyalone - The Hunt

Eric and Jeff from @ITSTHEREAL came through to talk about the classic film that basically started this whole podcast idea. PAPER SOLDIERS, a 2002 film directed by Dame Dash, written by Charlie Murphy and starring (are you ready you're not ready) Beanie Sigel and Kevin Hart (in his first role), N.O.R.E., Capone, Angie Martinez, Cam'Ron, Jim Jones, Jay-Z (in the best kind of glorified cameo), Memphis Bleek, basically all of the Roc in 2002 and it's incredible. This is the quintessential Bodega Box Office movie and we couldn't have had better guests for it.

Sean McTiernan of the ALL UNITS podcast (available now on all the podcatchers go go go) came through to discuss The Safdie Brothers' GOOD TIME, starring Robert Pattinson and horrorcore rapper Necro. Apart from being an incredible film, it's a great conversation. To hear just the music part, skip to 1:15 (one hour, 15 seconds) and follow Sean at @ComeInAllUnits.

In this episode, critic and filmmaker Scout Tafoya came through to discuss a REAL DOOZIE of a film: Bad Lieutenant Port Of Call New Orleans, starring Xzibit and someone called Nicolas Cage. Scout made an excellent video essay about Alien 3 for Rogerebert.com, hence the whole first couple minutes.

Adam King from the Who Would Win In A Fight podcast came through to talk ROLL BOUNCE, the OTHER rollerskating movie we've watched for this podcast. It's a longer ep, with a great music discussion that ends in a truly bad ass Too $hort track.
