It's time to do our weekly review and preview of college and NFL action. We also discuss what to make of LSU head coach Brian Kelly snapping at reporters, and whether or not Tom Brady's minority ownership of the Raiders is a conflict of interest with his broadcast job at Fox Sports.
This episode marks the return of our College Football Pick 'em challenge! Patrick and I spotlight six games from Week 3's schedule, pick our winners and the score we feel they'll win by. We also recap and look forward to action in the NFL, and discuss the standards we have for quarterbacks.
It's the NFL's turn to get previewed, BOFA Sports style! Patrick and I will pick our winners of each division, wild cards, and the teams that will meet in the Super Bowl. We also discuss the trade that sent Micah Parsons from the Cowboys to the Packers, and salute Lee Corso on his retirement from ESPN's College GameDay.
Football is officially back, and it's time to get our predictions for the college football season on record. This will include our picks to win each of the "Power 4" conferences (ACC, Big Ten, Big 12 and SEC), which "Group of Five" teams can make the College Football Playoff, and who will be the last one standing after the CFP National Championship Game in Miami.
A few NFL teams are under the microscope, as we decide if they're threats to make noise this season. We also look into the Big Ten's proposal to expand the College Football Playoff (CFP), and the Brewers' rise to the top of the MLB standings.
For this episode, we use the return of a BOFA Sports staple to see which teams are ready (or not) to make noise in the upcoming college football season. We also dive into how crazy people sound in the Shedeur Sanders debate, and ask how many forgot what the purpose of the preseason is.
We're back to discuss the pettiness that comes with contract disputes in the NFL (and probably life in general). The pending labor battle in MLB, and fan behavior at WNBA games, are also on the menu. Other topics may get added...time permitting.
We start the show on a somber note, with real life issues coming to the doorstep of NFL headquarters in New York. We'll then make the difficult transition into other topics, with the continuation of the saving college sports discussion and language in contracts being on the menu. Time permitting, more items will also get talked about.
We're back after a break to save college sports (at least attempt to...haha). We also discuss how the WNBA players are making statements other leagues could learn from, and look at MLB action as the trade deadline approaches.
It's officially the second half of the calendar year (time is flying), and for this episode, the timing brings fresh rants. The sports media's narrative on LeBron James, overhyping certain players and teams, and the NBA getting tied up in another gambling kerfuffle are among the items that have us in the mood to vent.
