  • Solo travel for women. Tess Millhollon #46

This inspiring gal, Tess from Texas shares her tales of sailing the Whitsundays, and in particular her serendipitous rescue on a mountainside.

Like many travelers Tess enjoyed the hospitality of locals, and this inspired her to start HerHouse, an app specifically for women travellers. We discuss the challenges in starting a new business and Tess shares some fabulous tools to combat resistance and getting stuck.

We both agreed that the keys to fabulous and confident travel is to be curious, to trust yourself and to believe good things will come your way.

This was an inspiring and delightful chat. I hope you enjoy Tess’s stories as much as I did.

  • CBD, sex & menopause. Kyla de Clifford #45

There is a lot going on in this juicy podcast! It may push some folk's boundaries a little, but it certainly is educational and I think well balanced. Kyla is a CBD - cannabis expert who provides us some helpful information on the health benefits of CBD in relation to wellbeing, pain, anxiety, insomnia and even to dry vagina. Yes, we have it all here.

Kyla talks to the years of fear and stigma of CBD as well as the changes in the medical field as they now use CBD for many issues such as PTSD and more.

We do touch a little on women’s health, body image and self-love. I warn you now, this is an intimate discussion with a good dose of laughter and merriment.

    Enjoy.

This podcast finds us in the settling of a near disaster.

Tom is best known as Tomfoolery on Social Media.  He is an author and poet. Famed for his artistic and moving poems on YouTube.  Tom shares his backpacking trip to Australia where running out of cash, he got work in a fairground.  Drama ensues when he and his friends tempt fate in the desert. Some of the most isolated parts of Australia’s outback. And  thankfully there was no ‘Wolf Creek’ moment.

This chat is a delightful glimpse into Tom’s life before he became famous for his Tomfoolery poetry, and he generously shares the inspiration of how it all began.

  • From "supposed to be" - to life! Tobias Johansson #43

Tobias chats with my special co-host, Asher and I about his life as a teacher where though life was good, but he got to the point where he felt he was losing his curiosity and playfulness. Like most of us, he made ‘outward changes’ thinking that would be the ‘fix’ he needed. He left his job and girlfriend, but as is often the case, it is not what is happening ‘out there’ that needs changing.

Tobias shares his internal shift from “supposed to be” to a vastly different life and new adventures. I particularly liked his take on easy it is to ‘lose life’ rather than gaining time and indeed life in every moment.

Tobias runs the WHAT-SUP Stand Up Paddling courses and sunset tours in Malmo, Sweden.  @what_supmalmo

  • Instincts and Trust. Dr Libby Weaver #41

Dr Libby Weaver shares her insights into trusting herself and her intuition that lead her down a surprising but welcomed path to becoming a Nutritional Biochemist. All of which undoubtedly changed the direction of her life. As often surprising events can do.

Libby authentically shares her wisdom in mental reframing to live in the ‘safe zone’ despite the stressors of life, how trusting that inner voice helps us become even more of who we rather than trying to please other people and so many pearls of wisdom that both inspires freedom and self-empowerment.

  • Mr Pickles & the FBI. Louisa Bennet #40

Some great insights behind the life of a real life FBI agent which provides authenticity to Louisa's dark crime thrillers. And bringing yin to the yang in her crime genre story, Louisa Bennet shares antics of her own Golden Retriever who inspired her dog detective novels.

I thoroughly enjoyed peeking behind the dark curtain of crime writing and how the distinctive styles of her books spring forth from a creative and incredibly talented mind. As Louisa says, “It was like chatting with a friend” and that is exactly how I felt. So, grab a cuppa, sit back enjoy.

About - Louisa’s crime thrillers (L.A.Larkin) have won her fans all over the world. Described as a ‘chiller thriller’ writer by Marie Claire Magazine. Louise is also the author of Monty & Me (Louisa Bennet), Monty, the food-obsessed, naughty, and totally lovable Golden Retriever who will do anything for his owner, Detective Constable Rose Sidebottom.

Tim Buxton’s story is powerful. He and his family arrived in Iraq on the same day ISIS took Mosul in 2014. The region had changed overnight. Slaughter, torture, and slavery were imminent for ethnic and religious minorities – unless they could escape.
