Most of my 1:1 coaching clients come to see me for clarity. They are business owners, entrepreneurs or women trying to escape from their 9-5 and make their side-hustle their main squeeze. They are usually frustrated because they can't get clear on what their next move should be. They feel stuck and want to take a step back and get a clearer vision of where they really want to go.

Y'all....I went to Paris, France and it was an ah-mazing experience. I went with 9 other women and we spent 6 days sightseeing, eating, shopping and taking photos. While I was there I had some time to rest, reflect and journal my thoughts. Through that time I realized the trip was changing my perspective in ways I never imagined it would.

There’s no free lunch. You are not owed your dream. God doesn’t owe you. The dream you have in your heart is for you, but it is going to cost you. You are going to have to devote time to your dream. However long you think it’s going to take, it’ll probably take longer. You will have to pay for something, give up something and work more diligently than you’ve ever had to before to get this dream off the ground, but it will be worth it! 

I strongly believe many of us stop short because we underestimate what it’s going to cost us. We think we are close to the finish line and then realize we aren’t even half-way there yet and we get discouraged. Your dream and who you will impact are too important for me to let you play yourself like that! I want you to be prepared for this road ahead!

61: The Problem With Confidence

Confidence is key to your future success in pretty much every area of your life. Whether you are looking to improve your marriage, launch a business or start a ministry, confidence is essential. What areas of your life are you most confident in your ability to succeed? If you consider that confidence is the feeling or belief that one can rely on someone or something, then you can begin to see the problem with confidence. 

It requires prior experience and relies on past performance. Think about it. The areas you feel confident in are probably ones where you've been successful, have a lot of practice time in or have experience in that area. It's all from your past. 

How can you have confidence in something you've never done before? You are embarking on a new experience, or new season, new stage of life with no prior experience to give you confidence. 

I suggest you build your confidence on God instead. He has a great track record and you probably have some great experiences with him. Spending time in his word is a great way to get to know him.

60: Why You Aren't Doing ALL Things Through Christ

I hear all the time "I can do ALL things through Christ", but when I look around I don't always see lives that reflect. Heck, when I looked at my own life I couldn't find that truth being lived out. I definitely wasn't do ALL things...certainly there were some, but most of the things I wanted to do and wanted for my life remained as dreams or desires of my heart without more than a "that would be nice" attitude most days. I know I am not alone in having felt that way. 

I'm WOKE now y'all so I am doing ALL things through Christ in real life!! Aye! But I know that God wants me to help more of his children LIVE out the truths we find in his Word. It got me to think about WHY we are doing more or anything really as bold and powerful as the Lord we serve is...

59: Maybe You Don't Know

Do you ever go looking for things you don't expect or you don't even know might exist? I certainly do not. I never go to the mailbox looking for checks I don't know are coming. I have a friend who ALWAYS does though, and you know what? She gets to the mailbox and sometimes there is a check there she didn't know was coming!! She is unique though. Most of us don't pursue things we don't know exist. 

In this episode, my goal is to set the record straight and shed some light on a few things you may not know about. I often wonder why people aren't going after their best life and realized it's possible some of you don't know that greatness is your destiny. 

"For I know the plans I have for you", -this is the Lord's declaration-" Plans for your welfare, not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.     Jeremiah 29:11 HCSB

Based on that scripture there are few things you should now know. 

• God has plans for you (present tense)

58: What You Waitin' For? 

Whenever it's time to make a move we can always find a reason NOT to do it. We come up with the best excuses too! "I'm waiting on God." "I don't have the support from my friends or family." "I don't want to make a move until I have figured everything out first." 

Have you used any of those excuses before?? I know I have. The truth is though, probably about 97% of the people who say they have a reason to wait are really just stalling. If you want to ever get past it, then you are going to have to get to the bottom of what is truly keeping you from making a move. 

In this episode, I expose the truth behind the excuses we often give for why we are waiting and reveal the danger of remaining stagnant in our walk. It's time for us to deal with our fear and move in the direction of our destiny.
