  • Stroke Survivor & 7 News Reporter Caroline Goggin

I was drawn to a story that Caroline did on 7 News here in Boston highlighting a new stroke center in Charlestown, MA. At the end she mentioned it was especially important to her as she is also a stroke surivor.

As it turns out, she suffered a stroke at the young age of 27. Who knew that could happen right? She certainly didn't. She instantly went on to do research on the topic, share it and her story with her viewers and continues to do that!

On this episode Caroline and I connect on our home state of PA, the "Philly Accent" and so much more!

Since her stroke she's connected with Our Team - Tedy's Team (tedysteam.org) co-founded by Tedy Bruschi, a former New England Patriot who also suffered a stroke at the young age of 30. She even ran with his team to raise money and awareness for stroke victims in last year's Boston Marathon!

  • Chicks Who Try Sh*t - A Collaboration with Business Coach Katie Grimes

We interrupt the previously scheduled program for this spontaneous podcast recording.

Out to dinner with my girl and fellow podcast host (Anything for Love | Katie Grimes on Apple Podcasts) she says "lets do podcast episode"...so we did.

I think it's her third appearance here and they get better every time! I originally had her on after seeing her at an event, finding her on insta, then became one of her coaching clients. After that it was clear we'd be friends! We now hang out, try different sh*t (thus the title) and laugh our asses off!

On this episode we get into dating, coaching, real estate, friendship and chicks that support eachother! Thank God for the magic of social media, coaching, scooters and hype women!

  • Canvas Studio Boston Creator Daphne Walker

The doors of Canvas Studio/The Design Lab opened one year ago this month. I had the chance to sit down with the creator, Daphne Walker.

She doesn't necessarily consider herself to be an artist, but definitely has a creative side, which is clear but what she has and continues to create inside the studio.

Its not only a fun, amazing experience but she keeps in mind her community in the Hyde Park section of Boston, always listening to them and creating special events for all to feel welcome and represented.

The Canvas Studio was intentionally built to be an intimate space (fitting approximately 18 people at one sitting) where people could reconnect, especially coming off of the pandemic.

Clearly this unique space has gotten attention with viral social media videos and sold out events for months in advance! WIth this, Daphne is already making plans for expansion!
