As a teenager, Marquita had to face a hurdle that changed her life. She was diagnosed with thyroid cancer and believed that her life would be a short one. Luckily for us, Marquita beat cancer and looked forward to life as an adult! She married, had children, and bought a house... and then the cancer returned. Again, Marquita feared that her life was never meant to be a long one, and that she would never have the opportunity to accomplish her goals. Her cancer treatments left scars both physical and emotional.
Once again, Marquita beat cancer, and then she knew that she is here for a reason, and that her life has purpose. "I learned from both of those moments that life is not over for me," Marquita says. "My story is not ending." Her motto, Veni, Vidi, Vici, from Julius Caesar, means, "I came, I saw, I conquered." A fitting motto for Marquita!

Sabrina is that rare Washington, D.C. native who still calls this area home. In fact, her daughters attend the same elementary school that Sabrina attended! She lives here with her husband and daughters and works as a librarian. You can forget that cliche about librarians being quiet and mousey, though. Sabrina is anything but! This caring, intelligent, and funny lady understands that the best things in life require hard work; at the same time, she understands the importance of taking quiet moments just for herself. In fact, one of her favorite things is enjoying some solitude in the backyard hammock! Even so, Sabrina also loves getting all dolled up for a night on the town.
What brought Sabrina to the boudoir photography studio? "I was having some self-esteem issues and I wanted to do something for myself as a personal boost," says Sabrina. Her favorite part was feeling like a model and forgetting to be self-conscious about her so-called "problem areas." Just one of the many benefits of a boudoir photoshoot--no more problem areas!

Anita hails from Florida and works as a surgical technician. This kind and funny 40-year-old might come across as an extroverted social butterfly, but Anita actually thinks of herself as a homebody who loves spending time with her furbabies, do-it-yourself projects, and the occasional glass of wine.
So, what was so attractive about doing a boudoir photoshoot? For one, Anita spends her working life in drab scrubs. She was ready for a glamorous and sexy change. Another reason was Anita's love of trying new things. This courageous lady drove from Florida to Maryland alone for a travel assignment, leaving her home, friends, and family. She hates snow!!! Luckily, there is little of that frozen stuff in Florida!
Anita's mindset is a beautiful one. Very little keeps her up at night. Life is too short to worry about every little thing. Anita prays and leaves her worries with God. She says that God will not take you where grace and mercy won't keep you. Wise words from this beautiful soul! Listen more about her wisdom and experiences in this beautiful episode recorded straight from Florida.

We are thrilled to kick off Season Two of our awesome podcast Bombshell Tells All with the gorgeous Shannon Banegas! Mom and grandmom Shannon describes herself as a daddy’s girl who is outgoing, caring, and kind. She is devoted to her family but felt a lack of confidence in her own beauty. Was she still sexy? Like many other women, Shannon was sensitive about her weight.
Shannon describes her photo session as a pivotal moment in her life. Even when the shoot was over, Shannon remembered that beauty comes in all shapes and sizes, and that true beauty is on the inside. She defines a bombshell as a woman who can look at herself regardless of her flaws and know that she is SEXY! Shannon’s main takeaway after the shoot was that regardless of what other people say and think, she knows she is big and beautiful.
Now that she is an official bombshell, Shannon's advice is: always love yourself. Important words for all of us from our sexy and confidant bombshell Shannon!
