Bone Throwers Theater

In this episode, we continue the hilarious hijinks of assigning Needs, Objects, and Locations to our characters. We also start to postulate how the combinations of these assignments and relationships could create some quite interesting scenes. Our characters start to take shape, but there is still more details to come in the next episode.

Here's the BIG NEWS!!! We are adding a cast member to Bone Throwers Theater! Everyone welcome Ellie! She has been an outstanding player so far and we can't wait to put out what she has contributed to the story. For her first episode, we see the impact of our previous "side-shots" as we bering back our beloved street kids. We knew there was something compelling about these kids. Now let's see how Jordan works it back into the main story.

Here's another Throwback to one of our favorite games to play, Fiasco. We chose a superheroes play-set, and with our eccentric imaginations, and dark sense of humor, it's sure to be a series of mishaps and blunders. In this episode, we set up our character relationships, and already we can tell that these characters may be super, but will fall short of being actual heroes.

There is a lot going on beneath the surface for our characters so far in season two. In this commentary episode, we explore some of the motivations for those changes and how these might ultimately bode well for the group, despite the perceived lack of cooperation. And as always the player theories abound as we know we have some new and interesting things still yet to be revealed... and what happens next episode is a BIG one!

Here's a quick commentary on our play of this new game, and also our review of the changes made to the D6 system. Overall, we concluded that they system has a lot of intriguing aspects that could really make things interesting, especially for the style of play we have in Bone Throwers Theater. With two pressing objectives in play the group has to decide which matter is more threatening. They choose to head to the Aquarail station to retrieve the mysterious box, which proved to be a wise decision as they met an agent laying in wait to snatch it for themselves. But were they working for the Fire Drakes, or someone else... perhaps even The Council?

In this final play episode for our run of Zorro, the players use what they have learned about the system so far to their advantage. And it wouldn't be a Zorro adventure with out the mark of the Z, a thrilling horseback chase, a duel with the big bad, and of course, thunderous applause from the people of Mission Los Angeles. Enjoy this story's conclusion.

Season 2 is turning everything on it's head so far. Our group makes their way to a new hideout, and it's a familiar location to the story. But it brings a dark resolution to one of the side-shot episodes. Themes of loyalty, tenacity, betrayal, and deception are displayed here, but in some unexpected ways, and from the most unlikely of characters.

We dive deep into the revamped mechanics of the D6 system in this episode. We try to wrap our minds around a different approach to Hero Points, experience some the new combat rules, and also try out the chase mechanics for the first time. But by the end, the story has still moved along as our heroes are trying to confirm their theories of the impostor Capitan's scheme.
