Dr. Josh Moyer recently graduated with a Ph.D. studying feeding morphology in sharks, but his career path was ignited and highly influenced by writing a letter to Dr. Eugenie Clark, a famous shark biologist by which people (young and old) were inspired to pursue shark science as a career path.
Josh went to an undergraduate college nearby as Dr. Clark suggested and it is where he met Dr. Dominique Didier. Dominique was studying ghost sharks at the time, which piqued Josh's interest.
Josh ended up conducting his undergraduate thesis with Dominique and went on to do a Master's and a Ph.D. in shark science.
