The tennis world is coming to grips with Ash Barty's sudden retirement from the professional arena, just five weeks after her historic Australian Open triumph.

In late February, the 25-year-old journeyed to Australia's 'Red Centre', to Uluru and Alice Springs, visiting members of the Mutitjulu community, as part of her role as First Nations Ambassador for Tennis Australia.

During her time there, she sat down with Australian Tennis Magazine’s Viv Christie for an exclusive interview about her experience of the trip, knowing in the back of her mind that her professional career would soon be coming to an end.
