They hear and even internalize messages such as, “I am valued because I hold to the right values,” or “I am valued as long as I contribute or someone else sees me as valuable,” or even, “I am valued because of my brand.” In a world where kids and students often question their worth and identity, they need to know their value doesn’t fluctuate based on popularity, appearances, accomplishments, or anyone’s opinion of them—including their own. Instead, they need to know the truth that their value rests in who God says they are. As His creation, their value is established before the beginning of time.
