In "Murder is a Parlor Game", former Scotland Yard detective Ian A. One of Morly's students in his uncomfortably hands-on self-defense course, Kate Columbo. finds time between being a mother, writing for the penny advertiser, and attending magic shows to prove a challenge for the unflappable Morly.
