As we continue our bonus episodes featuring remastered audio recordings of Verbal Bean on Prayer, here is an excerpt from Dr. King's book that transcribes this audio:
"Chapter two begins with a review of what was taught in the last chapter. While Verbal Bean comes back to the same subjects, he does so with new illustrations. Two Types of Prayer – Current and Memorial are reviewed, followed by a review of the Channels of Approach. He then teaches how to Stand Up Like a Man and Face God with Confidence. An explanation of Evil Thoughts results in teaching How to Control Your Thoughts. Moses is used as an example of how the meekest man stood before God in an attitude of boldness. Compare the Picture of an Angry God with the Picture of a Welcoming God. See how these men talked with God: Abraham, Joe Duke, Sam Mitchell and Verbal Bean himself during a Desperate Prayer in Revival. Can the Unbelief of Others Block Our Prayers? There is a discussion of Holding God Unwisely or Pressuring God Contrary to His Will. Another theme Bro. Bean keeps coming back to is “I Set My Face.” Here he uses the examples of Mother Freeman, the Bohannon’s and a missionary’s desperate cry in South Africa. This chapter concludes with Verbal Bean talking about Adventure in Prayer."
