Andy Peloquin joins James and Michael to talk about writing, relaunching a series, and to just be excited about things.
For those paying attention, there was another gap between the last episode and this one. James had Covid and wasn't able to get any edits done. So, uh... Sorry about the unexpected hiatus! again...
James and Michael are once again joined by JMD Reid to talk the fast approaching end of his 12 book series, as well as adaptations, travel, and unsettling architecture.
After months away Book and a Pint is back! again...
James and Josh interview Cassie Greutman. They talk books, games, ice cream. It's great. James's opinion on Ice Cream is completely normal.
After almost two months away James and Michael return to discuss all the pointless stuff they usually do. Jay S. Willis joins them to discuss Star Wars, the LAW, and the fact that Michael didn't know John Cena used to be a wrestler.
JMD Reid joins James and Michael to discuss his 12 book epic(First book out now, hint hint) and its rapid release schedule, the disappointment of closed borders, and the best non-traditional writing spots.
James and Michael are joined by Alexander R. Davis. They discuss which animals would be the most insufferable if they could talk, why tabletop roleplaying games are so great, and Alex's incredibly love of eggnog. Also the tragedy that apparently the best formula was ruined by capitalist greed. We all mourn the loss.
In this episode James and Michael are joined by Abigail Linhardt to discuss the trials of Ferret ownership, the perfect name for an elephant, and why mason jars are the perfect delivery method for your alcohol.
In this episode, Michael, James, and JMD Reid interview L.E. Modesitt Jr. They discuss Lee's careers outside of writing, why he'll never write about a dragon, and economy and politics in fantasy novels.
Michael and James wrap up their year and talk about what comes next. They also try really, really hard to talk about Spider-Man: No Way Home without spoiling anything for anybody.
And, for those interested, that dip recipe James mentions it's just: Fresh cranberries, cilantro, jalapeno, Green onion, and a little bit of lime juice and sugar. Get those chopped up nice and fine(or throw in a blender/processor) let sit in the fridge for 5+ hours, and pour over some cream cheese.
James and Michael are joined by James Reid for a chat with Steven Erikson, author of Malazan Book of the Fallen. They discuss tabletop gaming, the authority of the author in a story, and the sad lack of hockey themed SFF stories.
