Book Cult

Today we’re talking about the second half of twilight which features driving, sparkles and one man supporting his family alone for 600 years. Seriously let’s give Carlisle a break, let the rest of them get a damn job for once. Really this episode is just about how Carlisle is the superior vampire #teamcarlisle

We are finally discussing the most iconic book of the 21st century, one that will go down in infamy, a book that everyone will forever love to hate, it's time for Twilight. Stephanie Meyer brings us a book that truly has it all: pale teens, Arizona, and ballet studios full of broken glass. Don't worry we will cover the second half next week because one hour is just not enough time for Sydney to explain why everyone should always be team Ed.

On this edition of Story Time Sydney reads Twilight FanFic where she focused way too much on if vampires would know how to make simple things like cereal. Delaney reads another depressing story about a teen who doesn't like his life because he just wants to be around music but ends up stealing money and getting into a bad situation.

"I have many crockpots" This episode is long because there is a special guest (and one missing host, suspicious), Delaney's brother Jon is here! Listen to them talk about World War Z by Max Brooks, and just like zombies in general. You'll learn survival tips, recipes for eating human meat, and what movies Delaney is too scared to watch (hint: it's all of them)

Listen to Delaney explain a more realistic version of what happened in Amityville. It's a lot scary than the book because its real and tragic. Ronnie Defeo sucks and died at the age of 69. Sydney wants to make the Amityville house in the sims, Delaney wants to play the family

Today we talk about The Amityville Horror A True (fake) Story by Jay Anson. In this book we read about an angry man who is always cold, a kid with an imaginary friend that's a creepy pig, and a priest who needs to go to a hospital.

The Marquis de Sade was part of the French Revolution but somehow that is like the least wild part of his life. Listen and try to count how many times this man went to jail for his ~behavior~ and then go and burn some of his works just like his son. He was not a good guy guys.

So today we talk about the wild ride that is "In the Name of the Vampire" by Mary Ann Mitchell. This book features two Matthews, zero likable characters, and great opportunity to talk about both Twilight and Fifty Shades of Gray. Let us know in the poll if you are team Justin or team Jacques.
Warning: graphic discussion of this dudes sex life

Listen for the story of a child who gets sucked into his family's gambling problem, gets rich and then dies. We also have three stories about the hauntings at the Roseland Theater, White Eagle Saloon, and Multnomah Falls. It's a pretty scary story time so listener discretion is advised.

BOO!
