  • SPOTLIGHT: JOSHUA's COUNTRY
“The United States ends at these gates. This is Joshua’s Country, jefe.”
Born-and-raised a cowboy, Vietnam vet Joshua Jacobs looks out across the West Texas plain. All the land stretching to the uncluttered western horizon is his. From just a patch of land he built an empire, one he runs by his own rules. Yet, Joshua learned a hard lesson ... that his family couldn’t be run the same way.
Joshua deeply regretted not being on speaking terms with his only son when James died serving his country. James’s wife Katy never forgave Joshua for trying to run their lives. Heartache upon heartache, Joshua’s beloved wife Sarah passed not long after. Now, the only legacy Joshua has left is his grandson, but like his dad and granddad before him, young Josh also chose to serve his country. Joshua spends his days waiting for letters from him.
In the latest letter, young Josh said he was thinking of finally leaving the military to take his place on the ranch at his grandfather’s side. Joshua was overjoyed, but his joy was cut short when he saw a picture of his grandson on the news. The report said young Josh was taken hostage by the head of the most violent ISIS unit, known as the “Storm Demons.” Their leader, Shakir was infamous for beheading his hostages and broadcasting the horrors online to the world.
Threatening Joshua Jacobs’ grandson was a mistake.
Now, an Islamic Extremist’s hate for America faces an old cowboy’s love for his grandson. From the creator of the Amazon-bestselling action & adventure CRIS DE NIRO and ARCHANGEL thriller series, Gerard de Marigny.

  • Spotlight D.P. Lyle
Jake Longly and girlfriend Nicole Jemison are still recovering from their ordeal with Ukrainian underworld boss Victor Borkov and life on the Gulf Coast is returning to normal. Then Nicole’s producer uncle Charles Balfour calls asking them to head to New Orleans where his mega-star, A-list actor Kirk Ford, has awakened with the corpse of a college co-ed in his hotel bed. Ford, in the Big Easy for a location shoot, remembers little of the evening and nothing of the murder. As if things couldn’t get worse, the girl is the niece of local mafioso-type Tony Guidry who will do what is necessary to avenge his niece's death.
As Jake and Nicole attempt to put the pieces together, they butt heads with Tony’s muscle, his near-do-well yet aggressive nephews (the dead girl’s brothers), as well as drug dealers Ju Ju and Ragman. Of course, Ray and Pancake arrive to help sort things out with the help of Ford’s  beautiful co-stars in the multi-billion dollar Space Quest franchise, Tegan and Tara James (aka The Twins), who vehemently support and defend Ford.
But something isn’t right. The facts don’t fit. Who would want Kristi Guidry dead, or Kirk framed for murder? And why? Everyone has an opinion, including Kristi’s friends, her ex-boyfriend, homicide detective Troy Doucet, and even local fortuneteller Madam Theresa. It’s up to Jake and Nicole to decipher who’s lying, who’s telling the truth, and exactly who schemed to murder Kristi Guidry.
Nothing is easy in the Big Easy.

  • Snifter of Death by Chris Karlsen
Snifter of Death by Chris Karlsen
The summer of 1889 was proving to be a strange one for Detective Inspector Rudyard Bloodstone and his partner.
They had a sexual pervert loose. The man didn’t actually harm women but threatened them at knife point, fondling them, and ultimately stealing their stockings.
Far more serious were the murders of influential men, which appeared random other than they were all killed by arsenic poison. • THE MEAN
    THE MEAN
    by John Arthur Long

Enter a high school at your own risk and hope that as an educator you can get through to the students that are entrusted in your educational care. From the start you can tell that the high school in question fosters some type of learning, violence is paramount in many scenes, pranks are played that might cost one young man his life and you might say that what author John Arthur Long has written and former teacher and Assistant Principal Brian Scarlucci narrates could be ripped right out of the evening or morning news. From the first page you can feel the tension rise, incidents happening as someone decided to leave as one teacher says a delivery in her desk drawer or shall I say feces. Blanche Turner was livid and expected the AP to fix the problem and find the culprit who seems to enjoy placing feces around the building in various places. Then we have the mobster who threatens Brian if he does not take the money or bribe for turning his son into a scholar with the help of an unorthodox English teacher. But, the prologue sets the tone for something that might affect a young girl named Angel whose father is called a negotiator and whose presence is never there. Angry and frustrated she takes it out on everyone by dressing poorly and unladylike, flirting and flashing her body parts and then letting Brian know that she is just a mixed up teen in need of guidance.
