It details the story of Mole, Ratty, and Badger as they try to help Mr. Toad, after he becomes obsessed with motorcars and gets into trouble. It also details short stories about them that are disconnected from the main narrative. The novel was based on bedtime stories Grahame told his son Alastair. The audiobook Animal Farm is a satirical allegorical novel by George Orwell in the form of an animal tale, first published in England on August 17, 1945. It tells the story of a group of anthropomorphic farm animals who rebel against their human farmer in the hope of creating a society in which animals are equal, free and happy. The rebellion is eventually betrayed and under the dictatorship of a pig named Napoleon, the farm finds itself in a much worse state than before.
