Jason spent over a decade in the law enforcement profession and decided early on that he would invest his time into BJJ. Jason and I talk about the importance of training martial arts in a profession that does not dedicate enough time in the area. Not only is BJJ an outlet for self defense, but it is a fantastic workout, a great place to build camaraderie, and develop mental toughness as well.
Although Jason is no longer in law enforcement, he is still dedicated to making cops better. Jason runs Jiu Jitsu Five-0, a program for cops who don't have the time or recourses to go to the gym. On his app (iphone and android) you'll find everything you'll need to include training videos, nutrition plans, yoga, workouts, and even live classes you can join in on. Jason also has a line of LE inspired BJJ gear including GI's, rashguards, and shorts.
Jason was a blast to have on the podcast, he is knowledgeable and easy to listen to. I haven no doubt you will gain something positive from this episode.
