My friend,
Let us begin with a short story about two men: Chris and Daniel. They had similar backgrounds: they each grew up in a small town, both went to mediocre schools, and their parents even had roughly the same incomes.
However, the similarities stop there. Even though they had the exact same circumstances growing up, Chris decided to try and figure everything out on his own whereas Daniel would think about what he wanted to accomplish, why he wanted to do so, potential roadblocks, and then he would seek out mentors whether it was through books, podcasts, or in person. They both had good lives, but at the end, Daniel’s success far outweighed that of Chris.
This story exemplifies the point of this podcast. My friend…when Books on Purpose started at the height of COVID in 2020, little could I have imagined the results from choosing to follow the advice of the books outlined. The principles and action items lead me to an absolute dream life that Ralph Waldo Emerson himself could write poetry about. My net worth has increased drastically, but most importantly I realized one of the main points of life is to show others how they to can achieve their dreams.
The singular objective of this podcast and every single episode is this: to help guide you to take the consistent action needed to achieve your dream outcome in less time, with less effort and sacrifice. You already have it in you to get to the next level. Just sometimes, we need someone alongside us when times get rough.
Here is what I can guarantee you: if you go through each episode and do the action items, it’s going to hurt. It will be painful. Things will feel slow. You may feel like you’re constantly drinking through a fire hose BUT in the end just like Daniel from the story, one day you’ll look up, realize how far you’ve come, and I can promise you your life will never be the same.
So if you’re ready, start with Richest Man in Babylon, and let’s begin.
