On this week of Books vs. Movies I discuss Conversations with Friends by Sally Rooney and its TV adaptation Conversations with Friends starring Alison Oliver and Sasha Lane. Conversations with Friends is a 2017 novel about two college friends and the unexpected friendship they strike up with a married couple. This week I talk about why Frances is an annoying character, how the Hulu mini series compares, and all things related to cheating on your spouse.

On this week of Books vs. Movies, I'm talking about A Man Called Ove by Fredrik Backman and its 2022 adaptation A Man Called Otto. There is a Swedish adaptation of the book, but I'm focusing on the American adaptation. Join me as I discuss why I wish Ove's neighbor had remained Middle Eastern, the visceral reaction I had to this book, how this book ended up in my hands, and a lot more.
