During a week where people have taken to the streets in protest of the acquittal of murderous George Zimmerman, the BBR Crew joined the protest with a historic, marathon 4-hour uncensored episode that voiced outrage and examined America’s racial dynamic. We’re mad as hell and ain’t gonna take it no more! The Angry Engineer, Masta Talka and the CO took to the airwaves and our resident MC: J-Crush took to the streets in a revolutionary, unfettered episode for the ages. Filled with clips that included President Obama’s take on the ruling, racial comedy and of the normal commentary, the revolution was both televised and podcasted. Hip-Hop’s call for justice included gems from Ice Cube, Public Enemy, Sista Souljah; X-Clan; Screwball; Ol Dirty, the Wu-Tang Clan and more. So give a lusty chant of: “No Justice, No Peace! “ It’s Boom Bap Radio!

Just hours before the monumental decision that let killer George Zimmerman walk free, The BBR Crew: Angry Engineer, Masta Talka. the CO, and J-Crush review the facts of the Trayvon Martin case and try to figure out how someone can spurn the orders of police, leave their car with a gun, confront a teenager and brutally kill him and not end up in jail? Oh such is life in America - guns for everyone and dead Black kids everywhere - aaah. The crew also looks at the Asiania Airline crash and all the racist names reporters at Fox News gave the crew – Ho Lee Fuk - really? SMH. But Hip-Hop again saved the day. It was a double shot Saturday and Gang Starr, Busta Rhymes, Eminem, and The Roots led us out of the darkness. Now go out and pick a fight with someone and fill ‘em full of lead – It’s self-defense in Florida, but it’s - Boom Bap Radio everywhere else.

The BBR Crew was reunited in this episode and it felt so good! The CO, J-Crush, Angry Engineer and Masta Talka turn their attention to their favorite racist: celebrity chef Paula Deen. On a fact finding expedition in this episode, the crew examines Deen’s loss of sponsorship and ponder playing that new game where you get to hurl rocks at her head. Whoo hoo – missed her again– dang it! Hey, it’s not like the US Supreme Court took away any of our voting rights or anything…oh yeah, I guess they did - Ho hum. The crew also examines the George Zimmerman trial, the arrest of former Patriot Aaron Hernandez and search for NSA spy Eric Snowden. Hip-Hop was on hand too: Del tha Funky Homosapien, Jurassic 5; Eminem, Queen Latifah, Skee-Lo and Nice & Smooth came along. So come on out into the light! With the CO on siesta, remaining cast members: J-Crush, Angry Engineer and Masta Talka get their naughty on in the 7th installment of BBR Uncensored. The BBR Treacherous Three review the Kings of the Mic Tour; point North and welcome Kanye West and Kim Kardashian’s Hip-Hop bundle of joy into the culture and remind Paula Deen that it definitely ain’t Antebellum times anymore. The crew of course also plays Hip-Hop in its purest form. MC Shan’s latest effort again leads the parade of rawness, along with Ice Cube, LL Cool J, De La Soul, Biggie, Pun and Joel Ortiz. The Boom Bap Radio crew puts on an inspirational show in honor of the heroic deeds of Charles Ramsey, the larger than life superman who freed three women from captivity in Cleveland. The Angry Engineer, CO, J-Crush and of course the Masta Talka celebrate Mr. Ramsey with the help of Lauryn Hill, Redman, Black Moon, Snoop Lion, the LOX, Cypress Hill and more. Traumatized still by the playing of accidental whackness from last week, the BBR Crew: Angry Engineer, Masta Talka, The CO and J-Crush; cleanse their creative palate by going back to the drawing board.
