Hour 1:

Stugotz is in for Boomer again today. It’s a feel good Friday but Gio is already dreading the ride home since it’s a Friday which means there’s a ton more traffic. After the show yesterday, Stugotz got high and walked around lower Manhattan then got drinks with friends last night. DeMarcus Ware sang the National Anthem at the Hall of Fame Game and Gio said it was terrible. Oh, and Darrelle Revis got fat. C-Lo is in for Jerry and is here for his first update, but first Stugotz got his own hotel room, not knowing the company got him one. Giancarlo Stanton homered last night as the yankees beat the Astros. Anthony Rizzo has been suffering concussion symptoms since May 28th and will finally go on the IL. Rizzo met the media to discuss his symptoms since then. Justin Verlander talked about his whirlwind time with the Mets and how strange it feels going back to Houston. The Jets lost to the Browns in the Hall of Fame Game but Zach Wilson did complete a 57 yard pass. Mekhi Becton talked about having pain some days and not others. In the final segment of the hour, The Dan Le Batard Show played audio of Stugotz from WFAN saying he wants to work there and how he can bring in advertising. We also talked about Dan in Carteret being mad at us for something Al said and something Gio said.

Gio told a story about Chris Russo and ‘the family’, a group of guys at WFAN who would bet on games with Russo. Gio was only making $31K at the time and lost $1100 and 6 months later Russo came looking for it. C-Lo is in for Jerry and starts with audio from Steve Cohen talking about his conversation with Max Scherzer and not going all in on free agents next season. Gio does not like that Cohen is not going to do everything they can to win next year and it reminds him of the Wilpons. It sounds like the Mets are not going to make a legitimate offer for Ohtani. The Yankees beat the Rays last night behind a Giancarlo Stanton 3-run HR. Domingo German voluntarily entered an alcohol rehab program. The Jets play the Browns tonight in the Hall of Fame game and we’ll see a lot of Zach Wilson. In the final segment of the hour, Stugotz talked about the dangers of NYC and having to dodge scooters and bicycles. And everyone is smoking weed everywhere.

Stugotz is excited to be on WFAN as he's been a huge fan of the station for many years. He was even excited to meet Eddie Scozarre. But he doesn’t know who Dov is, which seems strange since he’s been at WFAN since day one. Gio does not like that Steve Cohen said they will not be in on huge free agents. C-Lo returns for an update but first we talked about Jerry vacationing in Texas which is confusing to Gio. And McMonigle is going to Florida this month. C-Lo has audio from Cohen before the game. He didn’t like the Mets’ ‘crummy’ odds to make the playoffs. He also said, ‘hope’s not a strategy’. The Yankees beat the Rays 7-2 behind solid offense from Anthony Volpe and Giancarlo Stanton. Domingo German is entering an alcohol rehab problem and is done for the season. The Jets play the Browns tonight in an early pre-season game. In the final segment of the hour, we talked about being friends with someone and then that friend starts doing better in life and you don’t hear back from them.

Giants GM Joe Schoen calls in. When he was working with the Dolphins he was a neighbor of Stugotz. He talked about his relationship with Saquon Barkley and how business isn’t personal. He also talked about reasons why the RB position seems undervalued in the NFL. C-Lo returns for an update but first Stugotz said he liked betting better when it was illegal. We heard audio from Steve Cohen on what they accomplished dealing Scherzer and Verlander. Gio and C-Lo go at it over what Steve Cohen said or didn’t say about next season. Aaron Boone was on Jomboy’s ‘Talkin Yanks’ podcast and was getting testy with the host about Aaron Judge getting days off. In the final segment of the hour, Youseff is in the studio to talk about the Women’s World Cup and whether French women shave their armpits.
