Hour 1:

The Mets beat the Yankees last night so they split the Subway Series. Boomer said both games were very entertaining. Nobody was dogging it in either of these games. The Mets did make a lot of mental mistakes that even Steve Cohen was tweeting about. IKF stole home which seems very exhilarating. Gio wonders who in Mets management loves Daniel Vogelbach so much. He has been out of the lineup for a mental break. Jerry is here for his first update of the day and starts with audio from last night’s Mets win over the Yankees. Brandon Nimmo hit a double in the tenth for the walk off. Nimmo talked right after the game about beating the Yankees and getting over ‘the hump’. Francisco Lindor talked about getting a haircut and then a win. Verlander talked about his first experience with the Subway Series. Gerrit Cole talked about the crowd being into it. Cole also talked about IKF stealing home. Daniel Vogelbach talked about getting a mental break and getting his swing back. Stef Diggs was back at Bills camp and Sean McDermott talked to the press about it. It still feels like something’s going on up there. Jonathan Taylor talked about teams devaluing NFL running backs. Joe Burrow said the best QB in the NFL is Patrick Mahomes. We also talked about Boomer and the Bengals Ring of Honor. We need him in it this year. In the final segment of the hour, Netflix released a trailer for the docuseries ‘Quarterback’ featuring Patrick Mahomes, Kirk Cousins and Marcus Mariota. The ratings for the Stanley Cup Finals was down 43% from last year. The NBA Finals were down a little bit from last year. Boomer talked about the difference between being on cable tv or on network tv.

Hour 1:

The Yankees beat the Mets last night and it was a perfect example of what the Mets season is right now. Max Scherzer had another bad start and couldn’t get out of the fourth inning. And then Francisco Lindor struck out in the 8th inning with the bases loaded. That’s where they are right now. Scherzer’s best days are behind him. Lindor’s best days are behind him. Gio is going to emotionally detach as a Mets fan and will not allow them to ruin his Summer. He may emotionally reattach at some point and he’s earned the right to do that as a longtime Mets fan. Gio said Max Scherzer will ride off into the sunset leaving orange and blue rubble behind. Gio has had a great 2023 so far and he is not going to let the Mets ruin it. Jerry is here for his first update of the day and starts with highlights from last night’s Subway Series. The Mets blew a 5-1 lead and Scherzer was terrible. DJ and Stanton homered for the Yanks. Clay Holmes got out of an 8th inning jam. Max Scherzer talked about struggling with the slider. Lindor talked about striking out in a huge spot. Mets reliever Drew Smith was tossed for sticky hands without ever throwing a pitch. The Las Vegas Golden Knights won their first Stanley Cup. They have been in existence for six years. Daniel Jones met the media and wouldn’t comment on the Saquon stuff. What is going on with Steff Diggs and the Buffalo Bills? In the final segment of the hour, we talked more about the Subway Series. And not to take anything away from the Yankees win, but the real story is how Scherzer and Lindor have not lived up to their contracts. 

Hour 2:

Yesterday Boomer & Gio golfed in a charity event for Winters Bros. Boomer said Gio slowed down the round of golf but he said that’s not true. Boomer said Gio took a bunch of shots at him when he was doing live auction items. Gio’s ‘Top 5 Moments’ didn’t include Boomer. A caller said it took him 3 hours to get to the game, then someone was in his seat. Jerry returns for an update and starts with Brandon Nimmo dropping a ball in center that led to the Yankees winning run. Max Scherzer was terrible and Drew Smith was thrown out of the game for sticky stuff without ever throwing a pitch. The Las Vegas Golden Knights won the NHL Stanley Cup. Daniel Jones has no swag but he’s a grinder. There’s an issue between Steff Diggs and the Buffalo Bills which may also involve Josh Allen. Shannon Sharpe said goodbye to Skip Bayless and he cried. In the final segment of the hour, the NY Rangers have hired Peter Laviolette as their Head Coach. He wasn’t Boomer’s first choice, but he was his second choice. 

Hour 3:

The Yankees beat the Mets last night. Max Scherzer was terrible and it’s been the same old thing all year long. The highest paid players are not coming through in big spots. Gio can’t believe the contraption Pete Alonso had on his arm at the Carton & Roberts comedy event. Boomer said yesterday at the charity auction, Gio said the Jets are going to the Super Bowl this year. A hand therapist calls in to talk about Alonso’s wrist contraption. Jerry returns for an update and has all of the sounds from last night’s Yankees win over the Mets, including the Giancarlo Stanton HR in the first. Brandon Nimmo had a gaffe in center which led to the Yankees winning run. Drew Smith was tossed for having sticky stuff without ever even throwing a pitch. A’s fans are doing a reverse protest and going to the games to chant ‘sell the team’. Sterling Shepard was asked how he’s feeling in Giants camp. Josh Allen commented on the Steffon Diggs situation in Buffalo. In the final segment of the hour, Oswaldo Cabrera wears his grandmother’s tooth around his neck. 

Hour 4:
