Boomer & Gio

We open with the Falcons' win over the Packers and debate over the point spread, followed by a caller bringing up Nate Burleson wearing shorts on The NFL Today and another demanding an apology for Gio's Jaxson Dart and RGIII comparison. Jerry's update delivers highlights from Atlanta's victory and Michael Penix Jr.'s big game, before Cam Skattebo urges fans to "be lit" and BYU QB Bear Bachmeier claims his family sometimes eats dinner naked. We finish by breaking down Green Bay's poor start to the season.

Boomer eyes the over/under for Cowboys-Ravens in Rio and predicts a track meet, before the show reacts to the widely hated John Madden movie trailer and Brandon Jacobs' prostate health message. Jerry’s update features the Falcons dominating Green Bay, predictions for a high-scoring Jets game, NFL touchdown celebration fines, and George Lombard Jr.’s weird but effective slide into home. Finally, a caller questions the Jets' run game against the Packers, and the guys unpack the origins of the phrase "blowing smoke up your butt."

We start with potential QB options for the Giants—including Jimmy Garoppolo—though Gio doubts it makes sense given his injury history. Jerry’s final update brings George Lombard Jr.’s big homer and awkward slide, the White Sox celebrating a playoff berth, a game-changing roughing penalty on Green Bay, Michael Penix Jr.’s puzzling “but God” quote, Matt LaFleur questioning his offense, and Frank Reich breaking down Sunday's film. To wrap up, Cam Skattebo wants the crowd to be “lit,” the Moment of the Day imagines Al disappearing in a steam room, and the crew locks in their NFL picks.

It's that time again! Here are our picks for this week in the NFL. Play along and see how you do.

One of the names at the top of the list is Jimmy Garoppolo, but Gio is worried he's injury prone.

Jerry starts with the sounds of the Falcons going into Green Bay and dominating the Packers. Jerry predicts this is the week the Jets get an interception. Boomer thinks it will be a high scoring game. Multiple NFL players were fined for their touchdown celebrations.

The full trailer for the John Madden movie came out yesterday and everyone hates it.

BYU QB Bear Bachmeier said sometimes his family eats dinner naked. Also, a nice Yankee recap.

We talk about how the Falcons-Packers spread was not as big as people thought it should be. A caller brought up Nate Burleson wearing shorts on the set of the NFL Today last week. A caller wants an apology for Gio since he said Jaxson Dart would be the next RGIII.

Jerry's first update of the day has the sounds of the Falcons beating the Packers and a controversial roughing the passer call on Green Bay. Next play, TD. After the game, did Penix say, ‘butt God’? The Yankees beat the Rays as George Lombard Jr had a crazy slide into home and also hit a huge homer.
