Boomer & Gio

We examine the 0-2 teams—both the surprises and the expected—and how everything Aaron Glenn does will be questioned after the Jets' loss. Jerry’s final update brings postgame sound from Glenn, Ben Johnson addressing Caleb Williams’ injury, Boomer’s weekend nor'easter forecast, Jaxson Dart on playing the Rams, and Howie Rose saying goodbye to Mets fans. Finally, we hit the Moment of the Day with Jim Harbaugh and the turds, Pat McAfee’s appearance on the Ole Miss sideline, and Gio on Coach Cowher calling out Lane Kiffin.

Pat McAfee was seen on the sideline of the Ole Miss game with the girl who sued ESPN for reporting on a fake story about her. Gio noticed that Coach Cowher really went after Lane Kiffin about the honor of the coaching position.

A few are a surprise and some we expected to be 0-2.

Will Compton commented on Caleb Williams being carted off for a hamstring injury and it’s a bit much. We heard from Aaron Glenn on the defense and how it could have been better. The Cowboys beat the Commanders and Jayden Daniels left with an ugly elbow injury. We heard from Mike Vrabel and reporters were still asking about the lack of offense. Aaron Rodgers seemed to take a shot at the coaches after the game. The turf in Tennessee was 157 degrees and was melting cleats.

We took more of your cathartic calls on the Jets and also discussed how the Jets O-Line handled the Packers D.

He wants Boomer to text Frank Reich as he has an idea for fourth and short.

We take your Jets calls and question their OT strategy.

Here's Jerry's entire first update starting with the sound of the game winning FG for Green Bay. We heard from Glenn after the game on how they lost. We also heard from Geno Smith after the game on the Jets blowing the game. NFL injuries included Caleb Williams and Jayden Daniels. We heard the game winning FG in OT as the Chiefs beat the Colts on Sunday Night Football. We heard Howie Rose saying goodbye and getting choked up. And more.

We started with the Jets overtime loss to the Packers, the overwhelming amount of penalties, some of the poor play calls and the way Aaron Glenn handled overtime.

Phil Simms joins Boomer and Gio to give his take on Jaxson Dart making the leap in year two after a promising Week 1 performance. Plus, Evan Roberts says fans should embrace the optimism from Week 1 and believe that both New York teams could be on the rise. The Evan and Tiki crew wonder if Tyrone Tracy's job is at risk if he struggles again in Week 2, while Gio believes both the Giants and Jets are catching their Week 2 opponents at just the right time.
