Boomer & Gio

Pete Alonso returned to Queens this week, and it brought about PLENTY of debates. Gio says Alonso hitting his 300th career home run to tie the game in the ninth for the Orioles, and getting a curtain call as a visiting player afterward, cemented 2026 as the most embarrassing season in Mets history. Plus, KFC Barstool called in to Boomer and Gio to rip Sean Manaea for criticizing Mets fans for calling for that curtain call. Tiki Barber called out Manaea as well, while Evan sounded off on Alonso for taking the curtain call. On The Carton Show, Craig and C-Mac debate how David Stearns must feel about Alonso's return, and how it might impact Steve Cohen's thought process about the future.

Boomer & Gio look ahead to the Week 2 matchups for both the Giants and Jets. Plus:

-Phil Simms on his Week 1 takeaways

-Mets fans' reaction to Pete Alonso

-Barstool's KFC on the Mets fans and Alonso
