Willie says that Aaron Rodgers looks really good in camp. He also says that it took him a full year to recover from his torn achilles so he expects Rodgers to be better this season than last season. If Rodgers can do for the Steelers what he couldn’t for the Jets then C-Mac says it will be hard not to feel like the Jets are cursed. Willie agrees but says there’s still reason for Jets fans to be optimistic.

C-Lo begins with the Yankees feasting off the team that exists to be their slumpbuster. This win is more of a relief than a celebration. The Phillies beat the Reds, is that good or bad for the Mets? Who are Mets fans rooting for? The guys expect Pete Alonso to hit his 253rd career HR in this series against the Braves.

The Yankees got back on track last night. C-Mac says it’s nice to win but other than Will Warren, there’s nothing to really make anyone feel more confident in the Yankees. C-Mac is annoyed that every team has to be compared to teams of the past that have no connection other than wearing the same uniform. C-Mac says there’s too much focus on comparing teams to past champions when the focus should instead be on current competition.

Hour 2

Neither local team's most important player is their QB, and the Giants, though not necessarily good, can't be awful.
