In this episode, I talk about how that whole D&D mess ended up, and then I go on a healthy rant about boomers for a while. It's weird that it took this long for that to come up.
I'm back for a new episode chock full of recommendations for things I've enjoyed over the past few weeks. Movies, TV, Video Games, Music. All the things human people partake in these days. Check it out and you might be a real human person after all!
Andrew Richardson joins me for this special Bonus Episode where I cover the entire timeline of the recent Dungeons & Dragons OGL debacle.NOTE: WotC released an updated statement while this was uploading. I have linked it here: https://www.dndbeyond.com/posts/1428-a-working-conversation-about-the-open-game-license
We kick off 2023 with Chris Hill who joins the show this week to reminisce about the good ol' days of coming up in the Chattanooga comedy scene. He's been at it roughly the same amount of time as I have, so we have a lot of great shared memories from our time navigating the past decade.
Don't worry. The show isn't going anywhere. It's just time this little baby caterpillar of a show sheds its "commentary on local comedy" cocoon and emerges as a "show that's actually funny" butterfly. Not this week though. This week is just commentary on the change and my plans for the new year. Also featuring details on my birthday party, if you're into that sort of thing.
It's Christmas time here at the Boomer Memes Compound, but my guest today didn't seem very interested in talking about that for some reason. This week Jeff Greenspan joins me to talk about the Chattanooga comedy scene and what could be done to make it better.
This week, Bridgette Martin joins me to talk about comedy. That makes sense, seeing as we're both comedians. She's been booking and performing shows around the country for several years now, and she's here to share some of her wisdom with us all when she can get a word in. I really need to work on that. Also I think she put an end to my tax evasion scheme, but we'll see...
Sorry for the delay on this one, but you will find that it's definitely worth the wait. I sit down with my friend of more than twenty years, former (and maybe future?) musical collaborator, and current cinematographer Dustin Lane. We talk about our glory days in With Faith Or Flames, where we went wrong, and then I kind do my usual thing where I make the conversation about me and my comedy. It's cool, he asked.
