Our show is broken into eight segments. Here’s a breakdown of what goes down in today’s show! (Tip: you can easily move between segments using the chapter feature in your podcast app!)
Today's crew: Zach and Connor in studio, Antonio joining remotely.
Segment 1: We open the show with our usual banter. Zach and Antonio riff on football, and Connor talks about his night out with friends.
Segment 2: Antonio and Connor make fun of Zach for eating sherbet for breakfast, and Connor is curious about Zach’s obsession with fishing.
Segment 3: Zach brings his wife into the sherbet discussion before we take a call from Sparky on Trump’s response to the coronavirus.
Segment 4: Zach finds out what the phrase “top of the hour” actually means, we listen to perhaps the most awkward Fox News segment ever, and we talk about TV shows — Connor and Zach don’t like The Office, and Antonio rushes to its defense.
Segment 5: We continue to talk about how television has changed, Connor doesn’t appreciate Remember the Titans enough, and there’s been some buyer’s remorse from cities that have defunded the police.
Segment 6: A very committed fraudster cut off her own hand as a cash grab, which we discuss. Would you cut off an appendage for a million dollars?
Segment 7: We hear from our official weather authority and friend of the show, Harrison Black, on the damage left by Hurricane Sally, what its path looks like going forward, and how — if at all — it’ll impact North Alabama.
Segment 8: We look at a piece of legislation out of San Francisco that provides financial relief for new and expectant mothers. Provided that they’re black or Pacific Islander.
