We hope you’ve had your mains and finished up your veggies, because you join us this week just in time for dessert as we enjoy the Pecilla Vanilla & Pecan Stout and Le Roux Project Chocolate Salted Caramel Stout. Why, they’re worthy of Thor himself! Right, can we think of any more hammer puns… um… something about how you’ll love these if you’re a West Ham fan, I guess…? (Addendum: Don’t worry, Boozer has told the Brain he needs to buck up his ideas again, he’s already on a warning).

‘Ey up! Listen in, lads and lasses, as we pay homage to the brew masters from York: Brew York! Ok, so they’re more inventive with their beers than they were with their brewery name, but it’s a proper, no-nonsense, does-what-it-says-on-the-tin Yorkshire name, we reckon! This week, we ‘ave been mostly enjoying Time Travelling Taxi, Abraham Lingon and Viva La Guava-lution; and proper grand they are, too, by gum!

Can you hear it? That faint, high-pitched sound? Yes, it’s the Brain squeaking with excitement, because this week for the first time we are doing Trappist beers, which make him very giddy and incoherent. Well, more so than usual. Come with us as we sample the delights of Westmalle Extra, Rochefort Triple Extra and the very special Chimay Grande Réserve Bleu (this last one being another 750ml big bottle extravaganza). You do not want to miss this. Besides, think of how guilty you’d feel if you let the monks down by not tuning in. Do you want that on your conscience?!
