Jesus Garcia received earlier this month from SEIU Healthcare, the contributions have brought his campaign fund up to about $700,000., Alderman Robert Fioretti, had about $259,000 on hand at the end of September and has reported raising about $77,000 since. Fioretti's biggest donation so far—$25,000—has come from J.R. Davis, owner of a detective and armored car company. Last week he received $2,500 from Mike Ditka.Chicago Reader

Since  when does Hollywood care about offending anyone -- especially in a foreign country where people can't afford movie tickets and their leader is so ridiculous, no movie could portray him as any more far-fetched than he really is?

"Even worse (than pulling the theatrical release) is Sony's apparent decision not to distribute the movie digitally, which would carry no physical threat to consumers," said Paul Levinson, an author and media studies professor at Fordham University. "By not digitally distributing, Sony is not making use of one of the great advantages of the digital age -- safety from dangers in physically public places such as theaters. Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah!

Like many of you, our family was blessed with the opportunity to gather together over the recent Thanksgiving holiday.Columba and I are so proud of the wonderful adults our children have become, and we loved spending time with our three precious grandchildren.

We shared good food and watched a whole lot of football.

We also talked about the future of our nation. As a result of these conversations and thoughtful consideration of the kind of strong leadership I think America needs, I have decided to actively explore the possibility of running for President of the United States.

In January, I also plan to establish a Leadership PAC that will help me facilitate conversations with citizens across America to discuss the most critical challenges facing our exceptional nation. The PAC’s purpose will be to support leaders, ideas and policies that will expand opportunity and prosperity for all Americans.

In the coming months, I hope to visit with many of you and have a conversation about restoring the promise of America.

In 2008 she could not articulate a compelling purpose for her run and stressed only her inevitability and entitlement.
