This week, Pastor Joe continues our 2022 Vision Series,  "One Small Thing" by looking at the ways we might show up for the members of our community. How hard is it for us to say yes? How do we give freely without the expectation of return? How do we share and sustain life together as our one small thing?  Drawing from 2 Kings 4:1-7, we see how the widow from our text was desperate in a time of need, and how the community showed up! 

This week, Pastor Joe launches our 2022 Vision Series,  "One Small Thing." How might God be inviting each of us to do one small thing so that we might see healing, restoration and love in our broken and hurting world? This week, we look to the story of the Hebrew midwives, Shiphrah and Puah, who defied Pharaoh's orders from Exodus 1:8-22.

This week, we conclude our two week series, "Reflections from Two Trees." Our Director of Program Ministries, Celeste Deveney, preaches from Revelation 21:1-4 and 22:1-7 as she challenges us to look to this new year and beyond with hope, dreaming of ways to becoming Christ in the Community.

As we close out this 2021 and look towards 2022, we launch a quick two-week series based on the Two Trees that bookend the Bible. In this episode, Pastor Joe looks at the first tree found in the opening chapters of the Bible as we reflect on this past year and see how we might turn towards God in our vulnerability rather than pushing God, and our community, away. This week, end our Advent Series, Waiting Well, by turning to the story of Joseph found in Matthew 1:18-25.  As we draw closer to Christmas and celebrating Christ's birth, Pastor Joe invites us to think about how we respond when we are surprised by God in our waiting.

This week, we turn to John the Baptist and continue in our Advent sermon series, Waiting Well. As we are called to wait in this holy season, Pastor Joe asks why we even wait at all? Drawing from Matthew 11:2-11, we look for the glimpses of God's Beloved Community in the here and now!

This week, Bothell UMC's Interim Youth Coordinator, Connor Walden, preaches from Matthew 3:1-12, as he continues our Advent Series, Waiting Well. In this sermon, Connor reminds us the importance of intentionality in our waiting amidst the busyness of our lives and challenges us to find time to be. 

In this episode, Pastor Joe wraps up our latest Generosity Series, Our Money Story; by turning to John 21:1-19 and the word, "Restore". How might we understand how Jesus restores us so that we might live into God's call to being disciples in our broken world? 

On today's episode, Pastor Joe sits down with Rev. Elizabeth Schindler, pastor of Faith United Methodist Church in Issaquah, Washington. Together, they share about some of the struggles of ministry and finding rest and rhythm, especially in light of her recent announcement that her time as pastor at Faith will come to a close and that she'll enter a year of intentional rest.
