The Donald Trump grift continues. He wants his supporters to stop donating to RNC and give to the Save America PAC instead. This is a power play over control of Republican Party finances and yet another attempt to punish perceived disloyalty from RINOS and people like Mitch McConnell and Liz Cheney. If the GOP doesn't give in, it could hurt them in 2022 and 2024. If they do give in, then Trump can turn the Republican Party into the "America First" party from within, and that's dangerous for democracy...

It's International Women's Day. It was started by women textile workers in Russia who went on strike for "bread and peace" in 1917. Not only has this communist origin been lost, but now we must see countless ads about "empowering women" and shirts with feminist slogans from companies that gleefully exploit women textile workers in the Global South. It's disingenuous and infuriating. #IWD #March8

So this is what passes for the 'Good News' in 2021...Pastor Stewart Allen-Clark tells congregation that women need to work harder to look good for men. “I’m not saying every woman can be the epic trophy wife of all time like Melania Trump. Most women can’t be trophy wives, but you know...maybe you’re a participation trophy.”

Georgia continues to do its level best to suppress democracy in the state, especially where African-Americans and other minorities reside. Beyond gerrymandering and previous efforts to suppress the vote by limiting early voting days, voter ID laws, and the number of polling places, there is now a bill considering even more measures such as criminalizing giving out water or food to those in line.

Eight millionaire Democrats just joined every single GOP member to vote to kill the $15 minimum wage increase by 2025. Even worse, one of the Democrats - Kyrsten Sinema of Arizona - mocked the poor with a visible thumbs down while also probably blowing a raspberry. These people don't represent you, and they shouldn't be in office.

Alex Jones revealed himself as a grifter. While this isn't terribly surprising, it makes me wonder how many out there are weaponizing white male rage. I am also concerned that he will face no real consequences or loss of his audience, because they have bought so fully into conspiracy theories and "fake news"...

Students in Greece are protesting against a new education bill and we should talk about it. It involves a dark period of Greek history, and could be a sign of Greece's authoritarian turn, which should worry everyone.
