I just found out that there's an oil tanker with 80 million gallons of oil listing in the waters between Trinidad and Tobago and Venezuela. If it leaks or sinks, it will but the Exxon Valdez disaster to shame, and blame would largely rest with with the United States and that's bothering me today.
So the coup in Bolivia didn't stick. Hooray! But this then begs the question of why? The West also bungled the attempted coup in Venezuela. As for America, military and intelligence funding continue to rise. So what exactly is happening behind the scenes?
Tensions are high on the east coast as the indigenous Mi'kmaq people engage in their treaty rights much to anger of local white fishermen. It's gotten to the point that acts of terrorism are being committed, and yet there's been silence and inaction from the federal government and the RCMP so of course I'm bothered by this.
If I can correctly guess 4/5 of what's under the First Amendment but a Supreme Court nominee can't, that's bad. Sadly, that's not the only bad thing about Amy Coney Barrett's potential nomination and I wish more people were aware of it.
A Kansas politician said the quiet part out loud recently, which brought the problematic issue of gerrymandering back into focus for me. Whether left or right, gerrymandering is something that should deeply bother every American, and every person who believes in democracy.
Yes, I'm bothered by pumpkin spice, but not for the reason you might think. I'd like to think I got to the root of the anger that a lot of people feel toward it, and I hope I showed that it's perfectly fine to enjoy pumpkin spice.
Sorry the video is late, I've been very busy with work and a side project. So about a week ago, Justin Trudeau said “What happens in the United States is going to be impacting Canada after the election, but our job is to be ready for all outcomes." He then went on to add “We’re certainly all hoping for a smooth transition or a clear result from the election, like many people are around the world. If it is less clear, there may be some disruptions and we need to be ready for any outcomes. I think that’s what Canadians would expect of their governments and we’re certainly reflecting on that.”
So what are these preparations? What are the contingencies that are being considered? But of course, no one thought to ask apparently. While I get that some plans might need to remain secret and hidden from the populace, Canadians have a right to know what the government is planning so that we can prepare ourselves and offer support or criticism. But instead, this story flew completely under the radar and that bothers me.

Here in Canada, it is Thanksgiving Monday. In America, it is Columbus Day. Why?
Happy Thanksgiving! If you're American, you're probably confused as your Thanksgiving is in November. Here in Canada, our Thanksgiving is on the second Monday of October. How this came to be is something very few Canadians are familiar with, despite some fascinating and dumb history behind it. So of course this is what's bothering me today. And the video itself is also bothering me, don't know why it's being so weird but after hours of trying to fix it, this is as good as it's going to get. :(
