  • Bounty Board 017: Do Games Take Themselves too Seriously?
Do games take themselves too seriously? I mean, think about it, when was the last time you laughed in a game? When was the last time you played a game that was consistently funny? Join Caleb and Eric as they discuss this weeks topic, and try their hardest to be the most serious boys around!

This week on Bounty Board Caleb and Eric dig into these questions in a discussion about what makes stories good or bad in games. There is a lot to discuss, but stick around and we play an interesting game of “Where would you live?” at the end. Because, let’s be honest, everyone has a fantasy world that they want to live in.

  • Bounty Board 014: What Does RPG Really Mean

RPG stands for Role Playing Game, plain and simple. Only, it isn't that plain and simple. What does playing a role mean in games? Taking control of a character? Creating your own character?Do you have to have agency over the story or can the story be told to you? What about leveling and progression systems? Quickly, Caleb and Eric realize that, though a lot of things get tagged as RPGs, many of those games have "RPG elements" and aren't actual RPGs. After all, what really is and RPG?
