Two of the best modern blues artists on the same show?  Yes, that's what we have for you this week.  Leilani Kilgore is an amazing young talent. Vocally, musically and lyrically...she's at the top of the class.

Jeremiah Johnson has been putting on a master's class in American Blues with each album he releases.  He truly covers all the bases.  

This is part one of my conversation with them.  We taste some "white dog" and some bourbon from my favorite St. Louis area distillery, Stumpy's Spirits.

The last show was so nice...we'll do it twice (sort of).  This week we focus on the beautiful one, John Wadell.  John is the single barrel manager (among other things) at Kentucky Peerless as well as being the co-founder of Stave and Bean Coffee Company.

John Wadell joins Kevin in a conversation with one of the greats of the whiskey world, Jason Brauner.  Jason is founder and owner of the greatest (and first) bourbon bar in the world, Bourbons Bistro.  He is also co-founder and Master Blender for one of the fastest growing whiskey brands around, Buzzard's Roost.

We taste through all three batches of Buzzard's Roost Cigar Rye and talk with Jason about what to expect next in his brand and his restaurant.  We also talk with Jason about the prospects of being in the Kentucky Bourbon Hall of Fame.  

For music, we run down the top ten songs from Jason's senior year in high school, 1986.  After than...maybe the 80s wasn't the greatest decade for music after all.  

This week I talk with the guys from Tin Zelkova.  This band has one of the most unique sounds around.  It sets me in mind of The Beatles meet Led Zeppelin with a bit of The Yardbirds.  

Tin Zelkova is made up of brothers Steven and Michael Thompson and, a familiar face to Bourbon Turntable friends, drummer Jordan Simpson (Sweet Lady).  

We also taste two of my honorable mention whiskeys from 2023: Bardstown Bourbon Company's bottle in bond bourbon and MB Roland's Corn Whiskey.

Welcome back for part two of our show with Nancy Fraley, Alan Bishop, Boomer Purcell and Andrew Brockman.  This week we taste Still Austin Cask Strength Bourbon and finish off our countdown of our top 5 bass players.

Nancy is known as "The Nose" and is the foremost spirits blender in the world (Still Austin products being just one of the many distilleries she works with).  Alan is the head distiller and alchemist at Spirits of French Lick.  Both Nancy and Alan are musicians in their own right.

Andrew Brockman and Boomer Purcell is two of the best bass players around.  Andrew plays with Mojo Thunder and Boomer with Sweet Lady.  Their bands' music is available for streaming on Spotify.
