We’re putting the wraps on Season 8 with a look back at the highlights of the season. It’s been another great year for the BHOD team and we’re already looking ahead to next year. We’re giving away some great prizes and checking in with our viewers for a Q & A session as we wrap up the year.

The season is winding down but there’s still tags left to fill. We follow along with Paul Morrison for a late-season roadtrip down to Kentucky for a last minute effort to punch a buck tag that’s burning a hole in his pocket. We also hear from Todd as he updates us on the close encounters he has in the late season with some shooter bucks.

Follow along as we join Clinton Fawcett on an encounter with the biggest buck of his life and lessons learned in taking a bad shot vs. making a bad shot. How will this one end? We’ll also climb in the blind with Tyler Rector. He’s had a tough season but he finally puts a little meat in the freezer on a late season hunt.

We’re headed south to Texas to jump in the tree with Tyler Barron as he makes quick work of a doe that gets in tight to his stand. Then, just a few days later, a buck makes the same mistake. Arrows are flying in Texas! Next we join Dan Richardson as he wraps up the year chasing fall turkeys. After several unsuccessful hunts, he’s finally got the birds patterned and sets his blind up for an ambush at a bottleneck in the timber. Watch how this one all goes down.

We’re back in the tree with Troy Spolum and he makes it clear that he’s ready to send an arrow, but it a buck, doe, or coyote. When a big buck come running in to his setup, he makes a beautiful shot and the buck doesn’t go far. We also check in with Dustin Decroo as he heads back home to Illinois for the holidays and gets a chance to punch a tag on a big doe.

It’s been a slow season so far for Justin, but when he sets out for new opportunities on public ground, things change in a hurry. It’s a roller coaster of emotions as he battles hunting pressure from other hunters to find the perfect run-n-gun. Watch how it all unfolds. We then catch up with Kent Petty in Missouri for an update on his season, followed by a recap of Paul Morrison’s Ohio hunting season.

It’s mid-November and we’re catching up with Mike Fitz to hear about his deer hunting struggles in the far north as he bowhunts in Minnesota. Then we climb in the tree with Josh Sturgill as he fills us in on what’s happening on his hunts in WV, TN and AR. We then ride along with Clinton Fawcett as he bowhunts during the IL gun season, a move he hasn’t made in the last 7 years. But this time, he is rewarded for his persistence with a big buck that walks in to his set.

In this episode we join BHOD team member, Tim Ainsworth, for some killer footage of bucks chasing and grunting and a big wide buck that reads the script, offering Tim the shot he’s been waiting for. We then hop in the boat with Dan Richardson in Indiana as he puts new tactics to work to for the ultimate ambush on a gnarly buck and doe by boat.
