Today I welcome Dalton Lewis of The Stickboys to the program. Dalton lives in western North Carolina, is a husband, an English teacher, and avid traditional bow hunter. He and his buddies run the YouTube channel "The Stickboys", where they chronicle their deer, turkey and hog hunting adventures. Their content is about as genuine as it gets. The title of this episode were sage words told to me by another hunter. His point was freezers are great, but stuff doesn't last forever in there. Troy Fowler is an interesting fellow to say the least. Better known as the Ranch Fairy, Troy has for years advocated for heavy arrows, high FOC (front of center), single-bevel broadheads for the big game we pursue. Troy shoots a lot of pigs which are probably some of the hardest animals to put an arrow through. We talk everything related to arrow build, penetration, weight, broadhead design and much more. Troy has a YouTube channel (also called the Ranch Fairy) and his delivery style is definitely unique to say the least, but don't let that fool you. This guy has seen a lot of animals die and has accumulated a wealth of knowledge gained from real-world experience. Enjoy the podcast!

Those who know me know I love deer, but I have a special soft spot for hunting wild hogs. Well, ok, "wild" is a relative term when you're hunting them over a corn feeder. Join me on this episode as I talk about my hog hunting experience, some stories and lessons learned. Hog hunting, no matter how easy or free range you make it, can provide thrills and a new quarry to chase when deer season is over.
