To summarize, there was a rain cloud over Vladimir’s mother! The Russian GP gave us race-y racing and shady strategizing and drizzly despair. We saw some spectacular performances, like Lando charging through Sochi and Max starting from the bottom and now he’s...where?! Because as is often the case in F1, the rain washed away all our expectations leaving us with an unexpectedly expected result. Boxes, leggo!

Today’s Italian GP felt like it went from Buongiorno to A-river-dirt-chi real quick. But the day was still jam-packed with moments like the Verstappen vs. Hamilton battle coming to a bizarre head, a totally un-bleak comeback from Valtteri, and a TRIPLE McLaren shoey (love a Zak Brown moment). Safe to say, we’ve got a lot of action to unpack from Monza, ranging from heartbreak to nail-biters to happily-ever-afters. Boxes, let’s get to it!

Mama Mia, what a week! In a surprisingly unsurprising turn of events, Alfa Romeo replaced a Finn with a Finn. Valtteri Bottas’ multi-year Alfa contract means bleak afternoons will soon be but a distant memory. George Russell’s move to Mercedes put a swagger in his step that we hope never turns bleak. And Alex Albon joins Williams in an AlphaTauri T-Shirt.

So, what do you do when the rain is pouring in your face, and the whole world is on your case? Do as Michael Masi (not Adele) does & stare at the same graph for four hours while everyone just...waits. 

The Spa Grand Prix was a cold rainy mess, seemingly to no one's shock but the FIA's. Sure, we gave it the old college try and got a couple riveting laps in. But mostly, today's GP was like watching a nature documentary about the world's greatest racing drivers just exist on a rainy Belgian tundra. Narrated by F1's answer to the soothing voice of David Attenborough -- above average rain jokes.
