A Brigham City man with a history of drug offenses was found dead Friday morning, floating face-down in the water at Stinking Springs, according to the Box Elder County Sheriff’s Office. Chief Deputy Cade Palmer said 69-year-old Eusevio Leyva was discovered at approximately 8:35 a.m. on May 9 by individuals arriving to soak in the natural springs west of Corinne. Residential burning to remove branches, weeds and other organic debris or green waste is allowed through the end of May with the appropriate permit, which can be obtained through the Box Elder County Fire Marshal’s office by calling 435-734-3345. Burn permits are issued on Fridays for burning on Saturdays. Burning is not allowed on Sundays. Residential burn permits does not include garbage, tires, construction materials, cardboard and other trash. Corinne City’s spring cleanup will be held May 14-19, and residents are invited to clean out large items from their yards and homes using large dumpsters provided by the city. A dumpster will be placed at 4050 West 2550 North. Other dumpsters will be placed near the baseball diamond. With no exceptions, residents are prohibited from dumping the following items: batteries, appliances, tires, hot tubs, mattresses, or liquids.
