Before we being our series in 1 Thessalonians, Pastor Ryan reminds us of the everyday mission of being God's different people around, with, and for others in everyday life.

Mark 14:1-12

Isaiah 7 describes the nativity, "the virgin shall be with child" and Isaiah 9 describes Christ's reign when "the government shall be on his shoulder." We are living in between those two, so maybe we are living in Isaiah chapter 8...

Joseph's circumstances seems so different from ours in that he had an angel tell him exactly what to do. But, how could Joseph know if what the angle said was true? What if he could know for sure the same you you can--by comparing what God seems to be saying to what God has already said.

You might be surprised at who God has used to be his prophetic voice to others, and how he might use you....

The book of Haggai closes with an encouraging reminder that we work because God is at work. We builkd into the lives of others becasue God is building his church.

We don't yet fully see the full impact of our discipling/building, but God has promised to bless.

From our perspective it doesn't look like much, "What difference can I make?" But, how does what you do look from God's perspective?
