BraemarCast: The Podcast of Braemar Baptist Church

Our lives can often be impacted by experiences of devastating grief and loss that leave us feeling hopeless. This week Pastor Kent will be exploring an example of this from Scripture in a sermon titled "If Only You Would Have Been Here," as we continue in our series “Resurrecting Hope: Overcoming Life's Greatest Challenges” and see how the hope we find in the resurrection of Jesus really is so much more than an Easter-only event.

Pastor Kent is continuing in our sermon series “Resurrecting Hope: Overcoming Life's Greatest Challenges”, with a sermon titled "Do You Love Me?" Sometimes it's the relationships in our lives that can come to feel like they have become damaged beyond repair. We'll explore how the hope we find in the resurrection of Jesus, can also bring new hope to broken relationships.

It's Easter Sunday...HE IS RISEN! It's also important for us to remember that the story and power of Easter is more than a one-day event. We’ll be exploring how the resurrection of Jesus can transform every area of our lives in a new 4-week series called “Resurrecting Hope: Overcoming Life's Greatest Challenges.” Pastor Kent is starting the series this week with a sermon appropriately titled "Resurrection Hope."

If you’ve ever struggled or faced challenges, or even tragedy and loss in your life, perhaps someone has sought to encourage you by suggesting that “God Will Never Give You More Than You Can Handle.” We’ll be considering this sentiment this week as Pastor Kent concludes our series “Dumb Things Smart Christians Believe.”

Pastor Kent is continuing in our sermon series "Dumb Things Smart Christians Believe" this week. It's comforting, especially in difficult or uncertain circumstances, to think that "God Has a Blueprint for Your Life." But is that very specific way of looking at things really true, or is there a better way to understand how God actually views the details of our lives?  To learn more about us, visit www.braemarbaptist.com.

It's a joy to welcome Steve Roadhouse as our guest this week. Steve is the executive director of Gull Lake Centre, our denominational camp. He will be bringing an update on ministry there, as well as a sermon titled "Walking...Standing...Sitting" from Psalms 1:1-3. To learn more about us, visit www.braemarbaptist.com.

As we've been exploring in our current sermon series, sometimes “Dumb Things Smart Christians Believe” are expressions we have come to believe as being true and accurate, when the don’t actually reflect God’s will for our lives. In a world where personal responsibility and hard work are seen as priorities or even virtues, we can come to believe “God Helps Those Who Help Themselves.” Pastor Kent will be leading us in seeking the truth that lies behind this common phrase. We’re continuing in our new sermon series “Dumb Things Smart Christians Believe” this week. Despite the best of intentions, we may come to believe things are true that might not actually be accurate. In the most challenging or painful times in our lives, people may seek to bring us comfort and hope by suggesting “Everything Happens For a Reason.” But is that actually true? Pastor Kent will be leading us in exploring that together. To learn more about us, visit www.braemarbaptist.com.

We’re starting a new series this week called “Dumb Things Smart Christians Believe.” Throughout this series we’ll be taking a closer look at some of the things people may have come to assume the Bible says, when it may not actually say that at all. We’ll also consider how we may have come to interpret things the Bible does say in incorrect ways. We’re beginning this week with an introduction and exploration of what it means to “believe.” To learn more about us, visit www.braemarbaptist.com.

We're concluding our brief sermon series titled “Membership Matters," as we've been seeking to reclaim a more clear sense of what it means to be a member of a local church. This week, Pastor Kent will be leading us in considering how church membership should be like a covenant, and encouraging us to commit to one another on a deeper level.
