BraemarCast: The Podcast of Braemar Baptist Church

It can be easy to worry, can't it? We worry about what could happen or what might happen. We may tend to focus on providing for ourselves in unknown ways and in light of an unknown future that remains almost totally out of our control. We're continuing in our series on "The Parables of Jesus" this week, as Pastor Kent reminds us of what Jesus had to say about worry and having the proper perspective in our lives, as revealed through the parable of The Rich Fool. We're exploring the stories of The Lost Sheep and The Lost Coin this week as Pastor Kent continues in our series "The Parables of Jesus." We can likely all relate to a sense of loss in our lives, and to the relief and joy we experience when something that was lost is found again. Join us as we explore how Jesus uses this relatable concept to teach us some powerful truth that applies to our own lives and circumstances. To learn more about us, visit www.braemarbaptist.com

Pastor Kent is continuing in our sermon series "The Parables of Jesus" as we consider the parable of The Pharisee and the Tax Collector this week. Jesus often used stark contrasts to convey important truth through the stories he told. Would you consider yourself to be judgmental...or do you give people grace? Do you tend to be kind...or critical? We'll be reflecting on those things and more together. This is also our LAST Facebook service for now, as we will be returning to in-person services starting next Sunday, June 6th. To learn more about us, visit www.braemarbaptist.com

What do you think is fair? Are you more concerned about what is fair to you, than what may be fair to someone else? Pastor Kent will shed some light on this as we continue in our series “The Parables of Jesus,” exploring the parable of the Workers in the Vineyard. Pastor Kent is opening the service with prayer and worship singing this week, then it's a joy to welcome a special guest! Steve Roadhouse is the executive director of Gull Lake Centre, our denominational camp. Join us for an update on camp ministry at Gull Lake and for a sermon from Steve in the book of John, titled "Into the Unknown." Times of crisis don't create values or character, they reveal those qualities that already exist in us. Do we adapt, grow and learn in times of crisis?
