This episode is a serious one. There is no denying the fact that this country and by in large the world is in the midst and grips of an Opioid Epidemic. In this episode I will talk to a subject matter expert in the field who has multiple years of experience working with, advocating for, and championing addicts who are seeking treatment. We will talk about the epidemic as a whole, educate on which drugs are most commonly used and abused, and look towards ways that medication assisted treatment has made tremendous strides in combating the issue. In true Brain Droppings style, we will also discuss myths and misinformation that has created a culture of stigma.....I know I say each episode is a can't miss...Well this one is a great walk down that path, so sit back, relax, and hopefully learn something.
